Course Curriculum Overview

The faculty members are highly qualified. All of them have Phd's(for aerospace engineering). The faculty student ratio is approximately 1:45. Their teaching method is interesting but not very different from other universities. The exams are conducted very often in a semester. We have 2 CA's before midterm and 2 after. Feels a bit hectic

Internships Opportunities

Many companies like Garuda aerospace, hexagon aerospace, etc come for all around internship opportunities . The projects include building rovers , or designing satellites etc. The outcomes are often aligned with the field of study and highly relevant to the skillset required in the industry

Placement Experience

Campus placements are pretty good comparing other universities. Students are allowed to sit for internship opportunities in the second year.Companies like indigo, air India, Collins aerospace, autodesk, etc come for placements. About 60 -70 percent of students get placed.I would like to pursue higher education after my btech

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees gets increased each year. For our batch we had to pay 1,20,000 INR a semester, but it has increased by 10000, for students who would be applying in 2024. They provide some kind of scholarship to most students who write their entrance exam. For example I have a 50 percent scholarship. I haven't yet applied for any job on campus, but I am aware that it is available like food delivery etc.

Campus Life

There is Indian science Congress that will be held this year. The university has year around fests and it's mostly enjoying. We had coke studio coming to the university. Prominent people from LinkedIn were also invited. The classrooms are well equipped with smartboards and projectors. The library is filled with books and has all the books required for academics. The university is excellent in extracurriculars and sports. One of the best universities if you are aiming for a career in sports . There are many clubs run by students like aero.in, shyein, etc.

Hostel Facilities

The room has an AC , three fans 4 cots , 4 plastic chairs, and 4 tables.The meals are not very satisfactory. The hostel is not worth the price that we are giving, though the registration process is easy

Admission

The admission process had entrance exam named LPUNEST. The application form could be found in lpu's website. I didn't get any reservation benefits. I would like to see better quality research papers sent out rather than quantity

Likes

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Dislikes

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

Inside NITJ- Beyond the Brochure

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

I like the machines that's why I choose the mechanical branch in engineering line. Noida , Gurgoan , Chandigarh , Bengluru and many other areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
