Likes

Campus Life is very good ..fest and all... it feels great being here.
Good people.Inside the campus you will feel close to nature.
Scenary of the campus is good ...that's what I like .

Dislikes

Food is very bad 90 percent of the times which cause problem for freshers.
Faculties are not motivated to teach..neither the lab staff cares to teach they are just there for getting there money.
Facilities are not good ..campus is located in remoted area where you have to walk 2 kms our or campus to get to the closest market.

Course Curriculum Overview

Coarse curriculum is ok ok ..about faculty ..some are good and some are very bad ..specially first year faculties..Also there are a lots of guest lecturers because the college is facing faculty shortage..but even after that good faculties leave the college after 2 semesters ..the reason is still unknown..Some faculties are very very good while some are very bad in nature and teaching too .

Placement Experience

Most of the students go for IT placements..because this college do not offer kuch opportunities for circuits branches like ee and ece due to which either you can get IT placement or prepare for government exams..I m not saying that there are no companies for core ..but they are not that good and not that much ..compared to IT companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

You can avail scholarship by applying according to availability ..also castewise and income reservation gives a lot of scholarship opportunities but there is no scholarship based on your academic performance .Even if you are getting 10 cgpa you will not be rewarded any fee benifits.

Campus Life

Infrastructure of my college is one of the very best in the country.NIT hamirpur is knows for its campus life.Inside the campus there is rule of intiming in hostels for 1st and 2nd year ..practically after that you can come and go to hostel at anytime..but overall campus have an intiming of 9.30 for boys and 8.30 for girls.Also whether is good and overall campus life is very very good.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is good ..But the food is overall just ok to bad ..quality of food is bad 20 percent of the time.Also the authorities of hostels are corrupt they always eats the money that belongs to students..due to this the lift and RO water facility in 2nd and final year hostels is not working 60 percent of the time

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

Admission

After josaa I was called for physical verification and it was just a 3 hour process..and after that hostel allotment was a little longer it took about 3 hours more...For candidates seeking reservation all the documents were checked including caste and income certificate and after that they were verified.

Lack of auditoriium so most of gathering will be in open air theatre

The placement opportunities at my college are average. A few reputed companies visit the campus each year, but the number of offers and salary packages varies depending on the branch and market conditions. Students who have strong academic performance, technical skills, internships, and good communication skills generally have better chances of getting placed.

The campus really respects diversity. Students from different states and countries study together and that inclusion makes a big difference
The infrastructure and fab faculties are unmatched, for people dedicated to carrying out research, they have almost everything atvtheir disposal
Extra curricular activities make sure one is involved in multiple volunteery things rather than just academics

Dislikes

Relevant placement opportunities with good packages can be improved
The fee for courses could be regularised
Mode of exam conduction should be completely offline to ensure transparency

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in last semester. They can choose to sit in placements and select if they would like to join the company theyve been selected for. Eligible candidates do end up getting great packages

Campus is very good and nice view from college
Faculty is polite and very helpful and kind

Dislikes

Very less internship and placement option
Very slow wifi speen and only 1 gb per day

Course Curriculum Overview:

Updated to align with NEP-2020 guidelines starting from 2023 onward. CSE (AI & DS) branch includes modern subjects like Data Science, Machine Learning, Python, Cloud basics. Core branches (ECE, ME, EE, CE) follow standard Indian engineering frameworks with essential subjects. Syllabus similar to other govt engineering colleges under HP Tech University, so fairly up to date.

the fee structure are affordable for any one and hostel are also very cheap
they also help student to build cinfidence as many event are there so a person can loose his stage fear
the support of teacher for students is very good

Dislikes

i would say that the computer labs are not in very good conditions
the computer are not even advantageouos for aiml student
the infrastructre is not that good even no wifi facility

Placement Experience:

so as the first batch of cse ai ml is going to passout this year so there is no record of placement but hoping that their placement would be good as per teacher's expectations and also they provide intership in iit mandi

The faculty and staff are well qualified appx. all are phd .
The junior senior interaction is good .
There is good coding culture and all senior all helpful .

Dislikes

Area of college is 15 km from una city .
The curriculum us hectic in each semester it has atleast 6 subject.

Placement Experience:

My college offer above good placement . About 85-90% of the eligible student get placed with median package of 9 lakh and average of 11 lakh . Our placement incharge is Nistha Hooda. Highest placement is of 60 lakh and minimum is 4 lakh

Likes

Hostel fees is quite less despite providing many facilities.
Mess food is tasty and campus is small but clean and beautiful.
Curriculum is up-to-date. Teachers are helpful and friendly.

Dislikes

There are many unnecessary restrictions in hostel.
Sometimes you have too wait too long for food in mess.
Less events are organized and sports infrastructure is not too good.

Placement Experience:

Placements are average , it totally depends on the students skills and their cgpa. From 5th sem students become eligible for campus placements. TCS, Infosys, Redhat vistited the campus and made more than 200 offers. 171+ companies visited. Highest package is 1.11cr, average is 6lpa. 70% students gets placed. Planning to go in tech related jobs in industries after getting the degree.

I like the campus, there is greenery all over the campus.
Sports and cultural clubs and the festivals
very good wifi facility in the campus. And good gender ratio in institute

Dislikes

Climate is hot during summer. But winters are appreciable
Mess food is not good that much.. but we can eat.
Sometimes in hostel there is non availability of water . In bathrooms

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it has more scope in India as India is a developing country. It also has government jobs more than other fields. We can shift to it sector this is the flexibility of this course.

Everything about my college

When I was applying for engineering, I had filled applications for a few other NITs and state engineering colleges, but finally I chose NIT Hamirpur because of its good academic reputation, supportive campus environment, and better placement opportunities compared to the others. Some colleges I applied to had very high cutoffs and I couldn’t make it there because my JEE Main score was slightly lower than required, but NIT Hamirpur’s cutoff matched my rank, so I got admission here. The admission process was through JEE Main followed by JoSAA counseling, which is the most common and preferred route for B.Tech aspirants. The eligibility was 12th pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and the cutoff for civil engineering here was comparatively achievable for me. The overall admission process was transparent and smooth, from registering for counseling to final seat allotment.
