Galgotias University a College to study from or not

I chose BTech CSE (Core), there will be many specialization courses to choose from. To discuss this I had a word with my department's dean to understand the importance of the specializations, he said we will be having a choice after 1st year and till then everyone will study the same subjects. He gladly answered me that you can choose any specialization after 1st year and choose then only as you can have a better understanding of the specializations after one year. This made a lot more sense that rushly choosing any specialization. Now let's talk about the faculty. The faculty of the university is good but you have to give a lot of efforts to study and generally some teachers focus in the front benched students and focus very less on the last benchers. This makes it harder to study in a class of 70 students. You can always go to the teachers and ask any doubts personally on a one on one basis. Overall the teaching faculty is nice.

I hadn't had a chance to find about internship oppurtunities in the university. But as told by seniors that there are many internships oppurtunites in the campus to do. They were added in a internships Whatsapp Group where they posted the internship oppurtunities. Mostly the internships start after the 1st Year and there are a lot oppurtunities in the university to choose from after the 1st year.

The fees structure is less compared to any other college of the similar ranking or overall study experience. I don't think they would do a hike in fees in the fees proposed at the time of admission. There was 5% discount at my time if you mentioned Galgotias University in the CUET exam. There are many oppurtunities in the campus but for any oppurtunity you have be a little social in gathering or simply join any club of your choice. I joined Cam Circle (Photography club) of the university and they offer many oppurtunities in the campus. I right now don't know much about the campus jobs or any financial assistance in the university. So, I wouldn't be able to answer about that.

The campus life is pretty fun in the university as you have many people of more or less the same age group and enjoy very much with making new friends and having fun with them. In our campus life we are filled with events happening every now and then. We enjoy participating in them as well just being a part as a audience. You should definitely join any club of your choice and make it a part of your campus life to participate in the club's wellfare. There are plenty of amenities such as there are many shops for food inside the campus cafeteria, we have a nice library inside the campus (not too big but good enough), we have grounds for different types of sports as well as for events, etc.. Let's talk about the down side, the campus is 10 kms away from the nearest metro station (i.e Knowledge Park 2), So, you don't have any means of transport in that patch except for shared autos, bikes, cars and 3-party hostel buses. And there is preety much nothing near the university.

The admission process is preety simple and they generally give admissions to everyone who have percentage above 60. There is a basic criteria that you have to get average of 60% in the main 3 subjects (i.e Physics, Chemistry and Maths) or you can switch any main subject of yours with Computer Science if taken in 12th. These were the criteria for taking admission in Btech CSE. The basic registration was done on the university's website after that you have to submit the fees online ( this would be the seat allotment amount (Rs.25000 in my case)). After that Verification was done in university campus but it is optional to visit the campus, it happens online but it takes some time to get approved. Then you are allowed to attend your classes while having some time to submit the total fees of the year.
