What Students Say

Likes

I liked the coding & cybersecurity culture. Also the clubs are very interesting
There are many various clubs for guitarist drama enthusiasts cyber security freaks. Literature lovers lingofreaks etc
Faculties are supportive until you approach them for help or something

Dislikes

Well there are some cons like many fights and drinking occur in campus
There is smoking and other drugs too which is common in most of the colleges

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose this course as I have interest in Computer Science & Cyber Security . Faculty:Student ratio = 70:1 . Qualifications of most of the faculty is they have done masters in IITs or some other prestigious institutions but not all of them have the teaching trait like they do know all the concepts but still they cannot explain it but exceptions are there some teachers teach very nice. Well the mid sems are just after half of the portion is completed and endsems are most probably after 1-2 months.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 164000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I have not got any internships now but after asking my seniors they told that the students enrolled in btech got internship after the 3rd semester in good companies like accenture , cognizant , deloitte etc

Fees and Financial Aid

Cost to study will be minimum 3 lakhs or 4lakhs per annum atleast. UP scholarship is there for UP students only and minority and children of defence applicants and government workers can apply for scholarships too . There is also scholarships for SC/ST/OBC. I did not got a job yet still I have contacted many of my seniors and they have got placement in deloitte , cognizant , accenture and other companies.

Campus Life

Galgotias UniFest is the annual Fest conducted by our university . Mostly it is in april & may . Dexterix is the event conducted by our university this is a large techfest . Many hackathons are also conducted in our university . Amenities in classrooms are speakers , AC & smart class & projectors. Sports & extracurricular activities are many like martial arts , football, cricket , and many more and drama clubs singing clubs dance clubs literature clubs there are many ngo run in our university like humans of galgotia , humanity saviours

Admission

No entrance exam was taken admission is based on merti bases class 12th. Eligibility of the course is minimum 60 marks in physics chemistry maths in class 12th. You can find application fees and application form on galgotias university official site . You can apply in different clubs here the coding and cyber security culture is good. Many seniors guide you and also many seniors have already cracked GSOC .

Overall Feedback for College - Admission , Placement , Course , Faculty , Events

Likes

the security is nice at my college like proper cctv and guards , apart from that labs , and my dept is too good. Ac classroom and labs
They have provided average placement like most of companies are mass hiring like tcs and accenture ..and only few companies come to offer big package
Infrastructure is good but there is need of reconstruction at some places the water is ticking in rain season continuously, and curriculum is okay okay not that much relevant to industry , they taught text books rather than the real practical cases

Dislikes

The examination checking - the student who is cr or having any relation with teachers got highest marks without writing the answer properly
The food canteen first of all the canteen is off from the past 1 or 2 year and now it reopen but it sells dirty food , waste foods
The college professor support , they are not that much supportive

Course Curriculum Overview:

coding I am interested in coding that why I offer this course It provide some courses but not all courses are related to real world they have to use practical examples and make students aware of the real industry According to me the time and frequency is okay of exam

I wanted to go to VIPS, Pitampura. I did get admission there but they did not update the 4 year course policy which was newly released by the govt on their website and ipu website. Due to this my budget messed up and I had to back up. I specially prepared for this exam but in the end I ended up going to a private university where I feel like I wasted my time and money. This university is not how it may look like. It may be good in terms of fees but the faculty and courses that get taught are like as if pursuing two degrees with no meaning. The admission process was simple and east. Fill an application form and go to GCET and get everything done there that's all. No complicated thing....Read More
