- They actually care about delhites and general category students and do offer them a college for their hope in engineering.
- Few teachers are really helpful and well qualified
- Minimal fees as compared to other colleges
Dislikes
- Attendance Issues, they can detain you anytime
- No practical teaching! In every exam teachers allow you to cheat
- Lots of assignments (just copy and give it) (the teachers actually love those copied assignments) (they make us to write so many assignments all copied and they just check it in a second just for 10 marks : waste of paper, waste of time, mental stres
Course Curriculum Overview
I have choosen B. Tech IT from Guru Tegh Bahadur 4th Centenary Engineering College affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. The Course is alot much offering with future aspects. My college is new in engineering field, so the strength is comparing low but crowd is decent. Few teachers are extremely good with qualifications and teach extremely well but some of them are newbies and doesn't even know how to teach, with them I felt my schools teachers were more qualified. Teaching Method is extremely poor, no practical teaching and only focused to cover syllabus except few teachers. Exams are after every 2 months : mid sem and final sem. Easy to pass, almost the whole class gets their phone. (Not me, also an exception with maths, where the whole class fails).
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees is decent when compared to other private engineering colleges. My whole engineering fees is around 6 lacks. In my case, I didn't needed any financial assistance, nor I contacted so I don't have any information regarding that. My college is new for engineering, so there are no as such campus jobs as of now. Plus scholarship is only to students with family income below 3 lacks! There's literally no support in any ip college regarding this.
Campus Life
My college is connected with GTBIT (one more college affiliated with ipu) and mine is GTB4CEC (same campus just different names). There are no active societies. Sports and Extracurricular activities are once in a while time. I as a a person who do muns, debates, public speaking so I do it from outside because of good connections. Otherwise the college have no such activities. There are some social groups run by the student they're extremely good and seniors are helpful. Otherwise considering my engineering college *There is no social life and activities*
Admission
To be very honest, the whole procedure is very tough and stressful. And even as a student having general category it's even more difficult and literally no reservations in any case. After completing my 12th standard, I gave JEE (for engineering) and CUET exam (just for last minute backup) as well applied for some UK universities from common app. Got into Aberystwyth, Brown University and a few more! but due to some financial issues, I dropped out the plan. Then, I got a great result in my cuet exam, got in some good colleges in du. Later in my third round I got up with Maitreyi College, one of the top college DU : bsc physical science wih computer science. But then I got up with ipu university luckily (my jee scores were horrible : 3 lakh rank) , but however I got into engineering and i am currently pursuing engineering (b.tech it). Improvement: I think reservations shouldn't be there where will the middle class go then! My friends got in with reservation but I couldn't even with a top
