Exploring the world of LPU

Roaming around the campus is something everyone loves. The infrastructure is very well built and enormous. The campus expands to approx 600 acres, the largest single-campus private college. The landscaping is eye-catching and mesmerizing. LPU has provided the best platform to groom me academically as well as personally.It has helped me in gaining experience at both social and professional levels.

There is no Entrance Exam for getting admission into LPU. The Admissions were based on Interviews. I was interested in designing from an early age and LPU has proved to be the best platform for giving wings to my passion and grooming me academically as well as a person.

The course which focussed significantly on practical learning was overall good but more theoretical information on a few subjects could have helped enhance the course. Over nine out of ten parts of the course were based solely on practical lessons and our concepts are only depending on everyday experiments and experiences, hence they went haywire. LPU has a wide range of courses from technical to management to architecture to agriculture courses and much more to offer. I think it offers the maximum courses any university has ever offered.

Yes, the college brings recruiters on boards in the summer break of final year for hiring interns. Most of the students who bag these internships internally, are usually rewarded with a job letter from the same recruiter upon their successful completion of the internship.

The on campus placements, varying slightly from year to year, mostly place about ninety per cent of appearing students from every course each year. Placement ratio is decent here. For my course the major esteemed recruiters includes Asian Paints,Berger, Hyatt, Cipla, etc. the average package being 5-6 LPA which is pretty good in the start in our course.

Many fests and events take place throughout every academic year in the campus ,the major ones being Youthvibe, AIU, Coke studio, Race go cart, Spectra, One India, LPUs Got Talent, Concoction, Magnitude, etc. Other than these, various hubs and societies hold numerous workshops from week to week. LPU itself has a very large crowd of more than 20,000 students so the average footfall always crosses 25k

The fee for a year corresponds to about 1,44,000 but counting the plentitude of opportunities and facilities that LPU provides to each and every student, this fee is earnest.

Scholarships are provided during Admissions based on the boards percentage aspirants have obtained. I am personally not aware of other scholarships based on GPA, if there are any.

It provides a great platform to groom ones talent and show it on stage with yearly Sports League a main attraction to all sports enthusiasts, and inter college Theatre, and Dance competitions being held by various societies frequently. LPU is very famous overall development of a student and this thing cannot be denied at all. Whatever your passion or hobby is, if you are at LPU, then you can easily pursue it with the facilities that will be specially provided to you for your passion.

Yes, I am a hosteler. There are choices for both, single as well as shared rooms for Hostelers. The choice is ours that which one we want to go for and is made at the beginning of each semester. PGs are available, but only outside the campus. Yearly fees for hostel excluding the mess fee is about 61,500. Food is average here.

There is an annual Alumni meet, and preparations are made at length each time to host them heartily. Their experiences have helped us make better choices throughout college life, but a strengthened and deeper student-alumni interaction will help bring better benefits I believe.

The exams in each semester consisted of only two series the MTs(Minor tests) and ETs(External tests) with due gap between both giving students ample of time to prepare and excel. There weren’t many assignments to submit in each semester ensuring graduation doesn’t become a source of students for budding students.

Though most teachers have incredible qualification, there are a few who don’t take as much pain in ensuring students gain in-depth knowledge of subjects, making the overall faculty standards fall below to average.
