My life in my college

This course( Electronics and communication engineering) has a wide range of opportunities. There is always a way for core and IT from this course. The curriculum is quite clear, 8 semesters, 56 subjects, minimum credits to graduation is 160. The faculty is top-notch among other departments. Some subjects like chemistry, and physics have to be removed as we don't have anything to do with them. There is a need to add a few useful subjects like personality development, and business studies. Overall this course in this college is very good.

This college has good opportunities for internships also. Many companies give good chances to every student. Big companies give stipends of up to 5 lakhs. While other companies also give good stipends like 1-1.5 lakhs. There are several rounds to clear those tasks. First skill and aptitude test, both in online and offline mode. The second round is for complete aptitude. Then interview rounds of 3 for each level, campus ambassador, company manager, and HR rounds. Almost all companies offer pre-placement offers (PPO). Which makes them placed directly in those companies.

The campus has a big range of Placements. Every year students get placed in many companies. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Intel, TI, PG, Oracle, etc are big targets for students. They give opportunities to all eligible students. The highest package is around 50-55 lakhs per annum. The average is 12-14 LPA. 60 percent of students get placed in each branch. I aim to go for an IT sector job. for that, I need to get placed in a well-reputed company first.

The fee structure is simple, for the monsoon semester 65000 has to be paid, and for winter around 15000. Our college provides many scholarships to the maximum number of students. But not all students benefit from it, some have to pay the total amount without any beneficiaries. Campus provides well-funded jobs. But to get the package jobs one has to work hard.

Campus Life is so beautiful Friends are the main reason to be enjoyed in the college. Fest like Tathva and Ragam are one of South India's biggest fests. They took every year in October and March respectively. The library is a vital store for our studies. It has electronic access to all the books in it. There are sports like Inter NIT and Inter-branch competitions held every year. All students show their interest, dedication, and passion towards these tournaments. We have a lot of clubs in our college, one among them to discuss is Team Unwired, which is a motor-based workshop. Its main aim is to create a racing car with maximum output. Every year they bring modified motors for a show to encourage students in motor sport.

Hostel and mess facilities are good on this campus. Rent in these hostels is more than 2000 per person with 2 in a room. Mess charges are quite high here. We can rate 7 for meal quality out of a scale of 1-10. To get registered in hostels we need to pay a caution deposit of 21000 for future infra insurance. The locality in here is safe for rentals but a little bit far from the college.

I wrote the jee mains exam back in 2021. It was a tough one, although tricky. I got a seat in NIT Calicut in choice filling based on jee mains results. I took ECE course from there. Firstly we have to apply for jee mains exam in the jee portal. Thereafter paying fees for each exam, we get a exam date. After writing we can expect our results within 10-15 days. Jee mains is mainly for admission in NITs, which has both caste based and state based reservation. There should a entry to colleges purely based on marks( Other than PWD). Then we can see the real gems of the country.
