What Students Say

Likes

Placements of CE branch is good as compared to the other colleges in odisha
Fests and cultural events makes our engineering journey very interesting.
Coding culture is very good . There are regular technical workshops conducted.

Dislikes

Quality of the faculties should be improved.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose the CE branch because the placement of CE is greater than that of cse. The faculty and students ratio is about 1:75. Most of the faculties are PhD scholars But the quality of the teachers should be improved so take your decision according. Exams are moderately difficult to pass.

Class Size: 75Course Fees: INR 250000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are internship opportunities. Students can avail internship opportunities in their 3rd year . Many companies come to our college for the internship. There are some other internships which are included with the workshop for the job which are given in the 1st and 2nd year also.

Placement Experience

Campus placements are good but for the recession placements are declined to be very honest. But there are opportunities for placements. Placements for etc and eee are low as compared to the other branches . I wouldn't recommend you for the etc and eee branch for this college, but other tech branches are good.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees per semester is approximately about 1.25 lacks irrespective of all branches . Total cost to study is around 12lacks . There are some scholarship opportunities .for financial assistance scholarship are provided.

Campus Life

There is a techno cultural fest called Advaita which is conducted and managed very well. This fest is worth attending. Coding culture is also good.there are many tech fests and coding competitions conducted.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is well maintained and hostel food is average .there are many options for fooding. Hostel environment is good as compared to others. Campus area is small and compact , personally I like small campus due to accessibility of the resources in a small campus is quick .but many students want larger campus size so take that into your consideration.

Hostel Fee: INR 12000 per year

Admission

For taking admission into this college you have to give jee mains exam. For the students of other states admission process is through josaa and for the students from the state of Odisha admission process is through iiit BHUBANESWAR official website.

Decent faculty and top tier placements, just follow the rules

Likes

I like the vibe of the canteen and greenery around my college

Dislikes

I don't like 75% attendance and the strictness of the faculty members

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs

Likes

The infrastructure of each campus in the college is very pretty and it's a green campus
The classrooms are well equipped with WiFi, Smart-boards for digital education.
Also travelling from one campus to another has been made easier as buses and golf carts are provided to students

Dislikes

The crowd of students here is too much which feels too much chaotic and disturbing .
The hostel management here as they don't give importance to the major issues here.
The hostel mess food. The quality is degrading day by day

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is good. This year 75% of the students are already placed with an average package of 8LPA . The highest package till now for this year is 22LPA. Many companies have visited for the placements and 100+ offers have been made. Companies like BNY, Infosys, Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Bain& Company, High Radius, TCS, EY, PWC and many more of them have visited the campus.

DRIEMS UNIVERSITY review after 5 year of frustrating experience legacy will be continued ????....

Likes

The college campus greenery and campus cleaning management are doing really very well that is the only good part but that doesn't matter much for your career.
⭐⭐There is nothing good to mention about this college after going through all the procedures from taking admission to degree,I regret and many of my friends also regretting taking admission into this college.⭐⭐

Dislikes

They have a good well maintained cricket ground but students are never allowed there only for commercial purposes and to attract new joinee.
Staff and management are very helpful and polite only till admission done.🥲.
Hostel food quality is extremely unhigenic, no one takes responsibility after many complaints also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was very classical , too much theory oriented for placement point of view they will provide last 1 month or 2 months training for aptitude part rest for technical you have to study on your own.
