Course Curriculum Overview
Electronics and Communication Engineering at NIT WARANGAL is one of the best courses available in the country and the curriculum is very much updated according to the industry standards. The faculties are very much qualified every professor has a Ph.D. They are very strict but they ensure that you have gained a very good grasp of electronics. Exams here are very frequent, we have minors mid and end-semester exams.
Internships Opportunities
People from another college can directly mail to the professors they want to do the internships under otherwise NIT Warangal releases application forms for applying for internships. Each professor has many projects.
Placement Experience
From 6 semesters students are eligible for placements. The students from 4 semesters are eligible for acquiring internships. Many companies visit the college for placements and NIT Warangal is famous for placements. The highest package this year was 88 lpa CTC and the average is around 15 lpa I suppose. The percentage this year is not yet released but last year it was 99.91.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fee here is 1,25,000 per semester and the hostel fee is 13,000. There are some opportunities for scholarships like NSP and institute merit scholarships. I have got an Institute merit scholarship where I got my whole year's tuition fee back. To attain this the student has to be in the top 10% students of in the department.
Campus Life
Our campus is small it is about 250 acres. So there is not much expectation of campus life but you have many places to watch outside the campus as Warangal is a historical place. The social life on campus is very good as you get to meet the top 1% students of in the country. We have two have two fest every year Spring spree which is a cultural fest and Technozion which is a technical fest which is one of the big fests conducted by colleges in the country. The library is very majestic in this college where it holds nearly 2-3 lakh books and the system in the library is very much organized. The classrooms are well-equipped with projectors and speakers. There are no Ac's in the classroom and attendance is taken manually. the sports amenities in college are on the average level but you can play a wide variety range of sports The physical education department here is well equipped with different kind of sports equipment.
Hostel Facilities
Some hostels are very new like 1.8k hostel which is Asia's biggest hostel, 1k hostel , priyadarshini hostel.Some hostels are old which they are renovating every year. The rooms are clean and not so big. There are no attached bathrooms for room .The mess es here are in average level they cannot match the taste of Home food but they are okay the messes cook both North Indian and South Indian dishes so you may not feel of missing the native food .The hostels are very affordable as they cost you only 26,000 per year and mess charge 3500 for every month
Admission
The admission happens through jee mains. The admission process is somewhat tedious, actually, it can be optimized or digitalized. There is a two-level screening of the certificates (academic and reservation) so it doesn't leave any stone unturned to recognize any fake certificate.
