Dislikes

Some of the teachers are not good as they are very rude with students.
There are not provided enough number of dustbin.
The canteen of this University is quite poor.

Course Curriculum Overview

As the computer sector is growing day by day and there is a good scope in engineering sector as it is quite easy and comfortable so this key factor attracted me to choose the course. The teachers prepared us very well to deal with real world applications. There are some teachers whose way of teaching is very poor and they are not time obedient.

Class Size: 66Course Fees: INR 90000 per year

Internships Opportunities

4.5

In every year a lot of companies visit in University with good number of internship provided to students. As last year windows companies visited to offer job opportunities for students who are good in programing

Placement Experience

The student become eligible to apply for campus placement from 7th semester onwords. The samsung and Amazon companies visited last year with 70 number of placement. The highest package was 14lakhs and average package is 5lakhs. Near about 63% of students get placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is quite affordable for middle class and also there are facilities for people who have an annual income less than 3lakhs per year. The complete cost of our education is 10lakh including all the expenses of hostel.

Campus Life

There held many functions within the campus like seminar are organised on monthly basis and youth festival is organised once in every year. There is huge range of books and journal available in library. In every class there are AC,Blower and smartboards are provided. There are very good ground and sports equipment provided by University.

The hostel is fully cleaned and hygienic and there are attached washroom in every room. The mess member provide good food stuff with new dish everyday added in menu. We can register through online forms or we can apply offline also.

Hostel Fee: INR 70000 per year

Admission

The eligibility of the course should be minimal 12th pass with above the percentage 75.It is very easy to get the application form from the official website PTU.ac.in. There are many benefits for the SC's and ST caste as they get reduction in fees and they get sear reservation. There is no need of improvement in admission process as it runs smoothly in well mannered way.

The university provides good exposure to technical courses, eventrs , clubs, and extracurricular activities.
The campus has good labs, a library, and facilities that support students academic development.

The fees are high and losing a scholarship due to cgpa requirements can create a significant financial burden.
More personalized mentorship and regular career guidance sessions would help student prepare for their future carees.
more internship opportunities would further improve students professional growth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the CSE curriculum covers relevant subjects and provides a good foundation programming and computer science. It prepares students for futher studies and careers, through more industry-based projects and practical learning would be bemigficial. Exams include MSTs and ESTs, with a manageable difficulty level through regi;ar preparation.

crowd is bonkers , except some local peeps , they'd be behaving weird
major events like freshers and orientation , they bring crazzy artists

Dislikes

hectic schedules drain the soul of you .
frequent exams test that are totally unnecesary
attendance is another nuisance , having 75 percent is must

placements of 2.8 cr occured but it was only one , most of the placements packages go under 8 lpa and extra fees has to be paid in order to be eligible for placement drives and that too doen't ensure the placement

A TOUR TO CGC LANDRAN

Likes

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . I am also sitting for campus placement and wish to get placed soon

College Life is Fun, Various activities and events happen in and around college, you got to know about others and crowd is also decent, Mostly Students are from northern regions that is Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand .
Teachers are good and placement coordinators also help students to get good package on campus. a decent package can be bagged by a student if he/she seriously study and obtain a decent CGPA in exam. Make sure you clear all exams till 8th semester.
Infrastructure Is also good, laboratories are fitted with new desktops and campus size is also decent, Tuck shops and various Canteens are available inside the campus. Also Central Library is there inside the campus where students can study in exam t

Dislikes

The curriculum for 1st and 2nd semester is purely based on subjects that you studied in 11th and 12th, the advance versions of those topics are there in 1st and 2nd semester which make it difficult for students to get good grades.
The placement in other branches like Mechanical, electrical is mere, and one can face difficult in getting on campus placement if he/she belongs to these streams. Also Lack of practical knowledge is there in these streams, Theory is more focused.
If one opt for hostels, then the hostel facilities are not as good as it should be , the mess food is pathetic and one can face difficulty if he/she opt for hostel, also campartively hostel fees are also very high, whereas nearby Pg's are cheaper

Placement Experience:

placement is good in our college. Aveage package is 400000, and average package for cse stream is approx 500000. Various companies like alstom, infosys, accenture, TCS, Wipro, amazon, Walmart, JP Morgan chase and co. etc visit campus every year and recruit students. Approx 300+ companies visit campus and above 80% of cse students are placed but In other streams like ECE.EE and ME etc placements are campartively lower and students face difficulty in order to get placed. MY plan is job oriented i also want to get placed on campus and hope so i will get placed in a good company.
