If you want to take admission here read this then make decision

I took computer science engineering because i had interest in 12th and college was also near my home town so I preferred this college. But after 2 semester im not having any interest because classes are higly boring and outdated i did not enjoyed anything academically it's boaring think twice if you want to study here. They need some major emprovement in area of cse and they also need some good mathematics profs because they don't have enough mathematics teachers. Now if we talk about exams then its just okiesh moderate level.

In- campus placement is not that good it is below average as they have taken way too many admissions their placements are not even to rely on they dont provide with good companies coming for selection average placement in CSE in 3-4 lpa they focus on theoretical knowledge more than the practical knowledge so no students are ready for the placement criterias and at last they fail as predicted

Actually fees is very less as compared to other engineering colleges. Because i have scholarship i got 100% fees benefits so it's basically free of cost in money terms. Fees is 47000rs per semester, but even after scholarship it is not that great they do not treat well when we have to verify for fee each semester it's running work from one table to another. And other charges are exam fees and hostel , mess fees if have opted .employment scope is null in ikgptu.

If you want to know about social aspect it is very bad not good at all they just have 2 big fest one is agaaz and another is inter college youth fest not to mention they just perform regional play or dance i dont like it at all! Im bored of this campus it's boring:( . Ptu has all educational infrastructure like library, sports facilities but its not that great .

There is hostel facility in campus but it is not good we have shared washrooms no personal washroom. There is 2 girls hostel blocks one is GH1 and GH2 . Hostel fees is affordable not too much or less . Mess Food is bad very bad. I don't enjoy my hostel life tbh they have shared rooms of 2 and some single rooms

There is two ways you can take admission in ikgptu Jalandhar, one is via direct admission which is based on 12th marks and another is via jee mains marks. I took admission via jee marks and at that tim cutoff was at least 80 percentile, you can visit www.ptu.ac.in for all admission questions fees for admission was 13000 rs, i also got scholarships called PMS (post matrices scholarship) . Its is very easy if you want admission here but I would highly suggest you should not .
