Likes

I like the campus life .it is pretty good and the friends I made are amazing.also the culture of college is pretty healthy
The cultural and technical fest organise every year and it is a great fun
There is a Student activity centre in college which have badminton court basketball court table tennis and a lot more

Dislikes

75% attendance criteria I don't like as the schedule will become more hectic
There is more therotical knowledge then practical knowledge in classrooms
Some students involve in bad habits so you have to save yourself form this bad company

maths and computing course mainly offers opportunities in blockchain,Data science and machine learning.faculties and seniors are helpful but some faculties are not that good in their respective subjects.

Firsly you have a good CGPA like more than 8 for on campus intership opportunities and companies like Titan, oracle, Wells Fargo,Allen institute, unacademy,speed Labs,LNT, Phillips etc companies provide internship opportunities in the college.

Placements of CSE MNC and ECE branches are pretty good. Like avg package is about more than 15 lacs + and the package of lower branches are also good .you will get to learn a lot form seniors.But there is a CGPA criteria for placements like you should have cgpa atleast more than 8 for tech interviews

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fee for non reserve categories is 76,750 per semester.and if you are under category of income 1 to 5 lacs you will get some concession and if you belongs form BPL category you will gett more concession in fees like your tution fees will be 13000 somthing

Campus Life

Nit Hamirpur has a lush green campus which is pretty big around 320 acres . classrooms have projectors for presentations and there are many tech and non tech clubs and societies in colleges which are run by students

Hostel Facilities

Hostel rooms are average.there are 3 and 4 seater rooms in 1st 2nd and 3rd year and single room in final year. Mess food is average but there are many cafeteria in colleges like 4 or 5 cafes and many shops also.but your hostel life will depend upon how good friends you will make

Hostel Fee: INR 70000 per year

Admission

To be eligible for admission you should clear the JEE mains examination.fees and forms related information you will get on College website.there is reservation for Gen ews,SC,ST and OBC students.Every sem you have to give exams two times,mid sem and end sem exams.

Lack of auditoriium so most of gathering will be in open air theatre

The campus really respects diversity. Students from different states and countries study together and that inclusion makes a big difference
The infrastructure and fab faculties are unmatched, for people dedicated to carrying out research, they have almost everything atvtheir disposal
Extra curricular activities make sure one is involved in multiple volunteery things rather than just academics

Dislikes

Relevant placement opportunities with good packages can be improved
The fee for courses could be regularised
Mode of exam conduction should be completely offline to ensure transparency

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in last semester. They can choose to sit in placements and select if they would like to join the company theyve been selected for. Eligible candidates do end up getting great packages

campus placement is good to moderate means is great avg package is 600000 as of my b.tech cse. yes for eligible for campus by 75% attendance , have to not a backlog in any sem need to pass each semester .

Campus is very good and nice view from college
Faculty is polite and very helpful and kind

Dislikes

Very less internship and placement option
Very slow wifi speen and only 1 gb per day

Course Curriculum Overview:

Updated to align with NEP-2020 guidelines starting from 2023 onward. CSE (AI & DS) branch includes modern subjects like Data Science, Machine Learning, Python, Cloud basics. Core branches (ECE, ME, EE, CE) follow standard Indian engineering frameworks with essential subjects. Syllabus similar to other govt engineering colleges under HP Tech University, so fairly up to date.

the fee structure are affordable for any one and hostel are also very cheap
they also help student to build cinfidence as many event are there so a person can loose his stage fear
the support of teacher for students is very good

Dislikes

i would say that the computer labs are not in very good conditions
the computer are not even advantageouos for aiml student
the infrastructre is not that good even no wifi facility

Placement Experience:

so as the first batch of cse ai ml is going to passout this year so there is no record of placement but hoping that their placement would be good as per teacher's expectations and also they provide intership in iit mandi

The faculty and staff are well qualified appx. all are phd .
The junior senior interaction is good .
There is good coding culture and all senior all helpful .

Dislikes

Area of college is 15 km from una city .
The curriculum us hectic in each semester it has atleast 6 subject.

Placement Experience:

My college offer above good placement . About 85-90% of the eligible student get placed with median package of 9 lakh and average of 11 lakh . Our placement incharge is Nistha Hooda. Highest placement is of 60 lakh and minimum is 4 lakh

Likes

Hostel fees is quite less despite providing many facilities.
Mess food is tasty and campus is small but clean and beautiful.
Curriculum is up-to-date. Teachers are helpful and friendly.

Dislikes

There are many unnecessary restrictions in hostel.
Sometimes you have too wait too long for food in mess.
Less events are organized and sports infrastructure is not too good.

Placement Experience:

Placements are average , it totally depends on the students skills and their cgpa. From 5th sem students become eligible for campus placements. TCS, Infosys, Redhat vistited the campus and made more than 200 offers. 171+ companies visited. Highest package is 1.11cr, average is 6lpa. 70% students gets placed. Planning to go in tech related jobs in industries after getting the degree.

I like the campus, there is greenery all over the campus.
Sports and cultural clubs and the festivals
very good wifi facility in the campus. And good gender ratio in institute

Dislikes

Climate is hot during summer. But winters are appreciable
Mess food is not good that much.. but we can eat.
Sometimes in hostel there is non availability of water . In bathrooms

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it has more scope in India as India is a developing country. It also has government jobs more than other fields. We can shift to it sector this is the flexibility of this course.

Everything about my college

When I was applying for engineering, I had filled applications for a few other NITs and state engineering colleges, but finally I chose NIT Hamirpur because of its good academic reputation, supportive campus environment, and better placement opportunities compared to the others. Some colleges I applied to had very high cutoffs and I couldn’t make it there because my JEE Main score was slightly lower than required, but NIT Hamirpur’s cutoff matched my rank, so I got admission here. The admission process was through JEE Main followed by JoSAA counseling, which is the most common and preferred route for B.Tech aspirants. The eligibility was 12th pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and the cutoff for civil engineering here was comparatively achievable for me. The overall admission process was transparent and smooth, from registering for counseling to final seat allotment. I applied just in government degree college , kullu where I opted bsc but this college is far better than Kullu College in terms of facilities to faculty, as well as ranking , reputation.
