Course Curriculum Overview

Our college has recently adopted the new NEP from 2023 batch in which they have changed the grading , attendance, and curriculum. Relevant topics like python programming, entreprenurship , environment studies, new mathematics topics have been introduced.

Class Size: 75Course Fees: INR 700000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Every year college brings various internship opportunites in campus to provide the compulsory internship for all students in 3rd year. They focus on all branches not just the tech branches .although cs ece branches get more opportunites than other core branches.recenty a third year student of chemical branch intered in germany .

Placement Experience

The placement opportunites right now is not that great .one reason is the ongoing recession in the market and also companies have become fond of laysoff instead of hiring these times. But the college is trying its best to offer new opportunites and bring new companies recently dell technologies conducted a seminar and is ready to hire from our campus from now on

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fees may vary depending upon the course and duration of it but the average tution fees is around 6-7 lakhs considering you are an ews student. Otherwise it may cost around 10-11 lakhs Other than this the mess +hostel fees is different depending on whether semestes is even or odd The maximum mess fess cost around 35000 per semester.

Campus Life

The social life here is quite good with all kinds of events including the technical event nimbus and cultural event hillfair and the also the sports event lalkaar. There are different clubs and societies which actively work,participate and organise events. The weather is best part about this place . Recently wr experienced a strong hailstorm in the campus which turned the whole college white.

Hostel Facilities

Basic facilites like bed , almirah , table ,study table is provided.other stuff like pillow, bedsheets, pillow, buckets etc have to be arranged The college has shops to bus such stuff we dont need to go out of campus to buy such items.

Hostel Fee: INR 25000 per year

Admission

NIT Hamirpur takes admission to its btech programs through jee mains exam. As far as chemical engineering is considered, being a general male outside state candidate getting around 50k rank in jee mains wuld easily secure a seat in this course and sometimes even in mechanical emgineering branch The counselling process is quite straightforward and is done via jossa and csab counselling

Infrastructure and quality of education and supportive professor for building our success career

Dislikes

Lack of auditoriium so most of gathering will be in open air theatre

The placement opportunities at my college are average. A few reputed companies visit the campus each year, but the number of offers and salary packages varies depending on the branch and market conditions. Students who have strong academic performance, technical skills, internships, and good communication skills generally have better chances of getting placed.

The campus really respects diversity. Students from different states and countries study together and that inclusion makes a big difference
The infrastructure and fab faculties are unmatched, for people dedicated to carrying out research, they have almost everything atvtheir disposal
Extra curricular activities make sure one is involved in multiple volunteery things rather than just academics

Dislikes

Relevant placement opportunities with good packages can be improved
The fee for courses could be regularised
Mode of exam conduction should be completely offline to ensure transparency

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in last semester. They can choose to sit in placements and select if they would like to join the company theyve been selected for. Eligible candidates do end up getting great packages

campus placement is good to moderate means is great avg package is 600000 as of my b.tech cse. yes for eligible for campus by 75% attendance , have to not a backlog in any sem need to pass each semester .

Campus is very good and nice view from college
Faculty is polite and very helpful and kind

Dislikes

Very less internship and placement option
Very slow wifi speen and only 1 gb per day

Course Curriculum Overview:

Updated to align with NEP-2020 guidelines starting from 2023 onward. CSE (AI & DS) branch includes modern subjects like Data Science, Machine Learning, Python, Cloud basics. Core branches (ECE, ME, EE, CE) follow standard Indian engineering frameworks with essential subjects. Syllabus similar to other govt engineering colleges under HP Tech University, so fairly up to date.

the fee structure are affordable for any one and hostel are also very cheap
they also help student to build cinfidence as many event are there so a person can loose his stage fear
the support of teacher for students is very good

Dislikes

i would say that the computer labs are not in very good conditions
the computer are not even advantageouos for aiml student
the infrastructre is not that good even no wifi facility

Placement Experience:

so as the first batch of cse ai ml is going to passout this year so there is no record of placement but hoping that their placement would be good as per teacher's expectations and also they provide intership in iit mandi

The faculty and staff are well qualified appx. all are phd .
The junior senior interaction is good .
There is good coding culture and all senior all helpful .

Dislikes

Area of college is 15 km from una city .
The curriculum us hectic in each semester it has atleast 6 subject.

Placement Experience:

My college offer above good placement . About 85-90% of the eligible student get placed with median package of 9 lakh and average of 11 lakh . Our placement incharge is Nistha Hooda. Highest placement is of 60 lakh and minimum is 4 lakh

Likes

Hostel fees is quite less despite providing many facilities.
Mess food is tasty and campus is small but clean and beautiful.
Curriculum is up-to-date. Teachers are helpful and friendly.

Dislikes

There are many unnecessary restrictions in hostel.
Sometimes you have too wait too long for food in mess.
Less events are organized and sports infrastructure is not too good.

Placement Experience:

Placements are average , it totally depends on the students skills and their cgpa. From 5th sem students become eligible for campus placements. TCS, Infosys, Redhat vistited the campus and made more than 200 offers. 171+ companies visited. Highest package is 1.11cr, average is 6lpa. 70% students gets placed. Planning to go in tech related jobs in industries after getting the degree.

I like the campus, there is greenery all over the campus.
Sports and cultural clubs and the festivals
very good wifi facility in the campus. And good gender ratio in institute

Dislikes

Climate is hot during summer. But winters are appreciable
Mess food is not good that much.. but we can eat.
Sometimes in hostel there is non availability of water . In bathrooms

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it has more scope in India as India is a developing country. It also has government jobs more than other fields. We can shift to it sector this is the flexibility of this course.

Everything about my college

When I was applying for engineering, I had filled applications for a few other NITs and state engineering colleges, but finally I chose NIT Hamirpur because of its good academic reputation, supportive campus environment, and better placement opportunities compared to the others. Some colleges I applied to had very high cutoffs and I couldn’t make it there because my JEE Main score was slightly lower than required, but NIT Hamirpur’s cutoff matched my rank, so I got admission here. The admission process was through JEE Main followed by JoSAA counseling, which is the most common and preferred route for B.Tech aspirants. The eligibility was 12th pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and the cutoff for civil engineering here was comparatively achievable for me. The overall admission process was transparent and smooth, from registering for counseling to final seat allotment. I applied just in government degree college , kullu where I opted bsc but this college is far better than Kullu College in terms of facilities to faculty, as well as ranking , reputation.
