Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I want to work in cosmetic formulation hence biotechnology was the natural choice. Subjects like biochemistry and microbiology interested me in choosing this course. I think it prepares us really well for real-world applications and further academic pursuits as it has a balance of theoretical and hands-on activities. Some subjects like c programming should be there for more than one semester as they require deeper exploration. There are two major exams in one semester. A mid-semester exam and and end-semester exam. Other than that we have sessionals before our MSTs and ESTs and Lab evaluations before ESTs for the subjects that have lab requirements like applied chemistry, physics, biochemistry etc.

Internships Opportunities

5

I am a first year student so I haven't interned anywhere hence have no idea about this but from what I have heard a lot of top companies like Apple, Amazon, Microsoft etc offer internships here. The stipends vary company to company.

Fees and Financial Aid

1. The institution reserves the rights to increase the fees whenever they want. 2. 25 lacs (could be more depending on your choice of hostel) 3. Scholarships are merit based and are given to students with 8.5 cgpa or above. The higher your cgpa the higher the scholarship. 4. I have not undertaken any employment as of yet due to being a first year student. A stipend is given only to PhD students.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
