Course Curriculum Overview
The course I got enrolled into was Computer Science and Engineering wherein we're taught about the various core subjects of Computer Science. The faculty is from renowned institutions, but the curriculum is certainly very outdated, not with the modern flow of the environment. The exams are held twice every semester, once the end semesters and one are mid semesters.
Internships Opportunities
There have been no interships offered to me as of now, but the internship scenario of this college is currently not at its best pace and working very slow, There have been around 100 students who have gotten their internships.
Placement Experience
The placements of the college are decent alike any other private engineering college in India, with an average package of Rs.7,00,000/- per annum. The training and placement cell is responsible for bringing most of the companies to the campus, with almost a 95% placement scenario in here. Companies such as Delloite, Capegimi, Bosch, Atlassian, Playsimple, and etc visit the campus. The Highest offered for the year of 2023 was around 62Lpa.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fees : Rs.1,75,000/-hostel fees is dependent on your choice of hostel, for example i took a 3 bedded AC(premium) and the fees for the hostel was Rs. 60,000/-, and the mess fees being Rs.22,500/-. This all comes down with a registration fees and exam fees of both Rs.1,000/- each to a total of Rs.2,58,000/- for each semester. There are scholarships available within the school for the ones in the top 500 of KIITEE, for an amount of Rs. 10,000/- per semester.
Campus Life
There is a KIIT-Fest organised every year which is a techno-cultural fest wherein many celebraties and artist come and perform, There are many societies and clubs within the college to broaden your aspect of knowledge and learning and socialism. The infrastructure is moderately okay and survivable within the aspects of a college. the libraries are open for 22 hours a day if someone wants to access them.
Hostel Facilities
There are various kinds of hostel in campus, both gender-biased. Mine in KP-15(A 3 bedded-AC premium hostel). The room is very good from all the hostels here with 3 wardrobes and 3 beds and 3 tables alongwith 3 storage spaces, the room also has a Ac and a washroom in it. Although because of mess i wouldn't recommend staying in the hostel, prefer renting a pg around Patia on KIIT Sqaure road.
Admission
We gave the KIITEE exam, which is originally free and through that we get a certain percentile based score, thereby giving you the result of which branch you got into. Mine was Computer Science and Engineering with a percentile score of 80%. The application form can be found on the college website "www.kiit.ac.in". The exam was mostly simple if you've prepared for your normal 10+2 exams well, and JEE. The exam is held online quite frequently.
