Electrical engineering is a core branch so main point was this of choosing It teaches the main power supply across all over the country and othe things like electric cars I think more demonstrative ways to be applied in this course

Honda is the company which offered 5 internships on the mechanical and software engineer post for learing and experiencing industrial life with stipend of about 80000 rs per month Currently exact projects I don't know.

Placement Experience

Placement of our college is quite good and we are eligible from 3rd year to apply for inside campus internship and placement. One of the comanies name Honda recently visited and selected about 10 candidates. I currently don't know the exact highest and average package Approximately 84% students placed every year My plan is to get a job ain the technical field

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fee increases very minimalistic every year. It's divided into Tution fee, maintainence fee, and all For scholarship, you to apply to NSP for claiming . Till now I'm not known of any campus emplyment opportunities.

Campus Life

Yes, campus life is much much attractive. Campus is very beautiful and have a lush green enviornment. NIT Hamirpur has 1 cultural fest name Hill'fair in the month of Octobeer and 1 Tech Fest name NIMBUS in the month of March. Variety of books are available in Library about a Lakh. It consists of various authors and publications. We have a new build lecture hall providing Smart boards, projectors and well lit area. Various sports are present such as cricket, football, table tennis, carrom, chess, etc. and every year sports Fest name "LALKAAR" is celebrated in March. Social groups such as Swach Bharat abhiyan and all runs in campus and nearby area so that students volunteeraly participate in it.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are quite good. In room we are provided with the Bed, table, chair, Almirah, well installed Lights and fans. Every hostel includes a mess where food quality is descent. They give breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, And evening Snacks. Registration process is not that much difficult, consists of 1 offline form and 1 online and rest is fee payment through online mode only. It is affordable as it is of 75000 per year.

Admission

Elgibility - 12th pass with minimum 60% marks We have to give JEE Mains examination To find the application form, visit jeemains.ac.in It occurs 2 times a year generally in January and April It's not a tough exam, questions are based on NCERT books in which physcis chemistry and maths comes Cutoff varies with the level of paper and number of students appeared. I have availed EWS category reservation of 10% seats

Students who have strong academic performance, technical skills, internships, and good communication skills generally have better chances of getting placed.

The campus really respects diversity. Students from different states and countries study together and that inclusion makes a big difference
The infrastructure and fab faculties are unmatched, for people dedicated to carrying out research, they have almost everything atvtheir disposal
Extra curricular activities make sure one is involved in multiple volunteery things rather than just academics

Dislikes

Relevant placement opportunities with good packages can be improved
The fee for courses could be regularised
Mode of exam conduction should be completely offline to ensure transparency

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in last semester. They can choose to sit in placements and select if they would like to join the company theyve been selected for. Eligible candidates do end up getting great packages

Course Curriculum Overview:

Updated to align with NEP-2020 guidelines starting from 2023 onward. CSE (AI & DS) branch includes modern subjects like Data Science, Machine Learning, Python, Cloud basics. Core branches (ECE, ME, EE, CE) follow standard Indian engineering frameworks with essential subjects. Syllabus similar to other govt engineering colleges under HP Tech University, so fairly up to date.

the fee structure are affordable for any one and hostel are also very cheap
they also help student to build cinfidence as many event are there so a person can loose his stage fear
the support of teacher for students is very good

Dislikes

i would say that the computer labs are not in very good conditions
the computer are not even advantageouos for aiml student
the infrastructre is not that good even no wifi facility

so as the first batch of cse ai ml is going to passout this year so there is no record of placement but hoping that their placement would be good as per teacher's expectations and also they provide intership in iit mandi

The junior senior interaction is good .
There is good coding culture and all senior all helpful .

Area of college is 15 km from una city .
The curriculum us hectic in each semester it has atleast 6 subject.

My college offer above good placement . About 85-90% of the eligible student get placed with median package of 9 lakh and average of 11 lakh . Our placement incharge is Nistha Hooda. Highest placement is of 60 lakh and minimum is 4 lakh

Likes

Hostel fees is quite less despite providing many facilities.
Mess food is tasty and campus is small but clean and beautiful.
Curriculum is up-to-date. Teachers are helpful and friendly.

Dislikes

There are many unnecessary restrictions in hostel.
Sometimes you have too wait too long for food in mess.
Less events are organized and sports infrastructure is not too good.

Placement Experience:

Placements are average , it totally depends on the students skills and their cgpa. From 5th sem students become eligible for campus placements. TCS, Infosys, Redhat vistited the campus and made more than 200 offers. 171+ companies visited. Highest package is 1.11cr, average is 6lpa. 70% students gets placed. Planning to go in tech related jobs in industries after getting the degree.

I like the campus, there is greenery all over the campus.
Sports and cultural clubs and the festivals
very good wifi facility in the campus. And good gender ratio in institute

Dislikes

Climate is hot during summer. But winters are appreciable
Mess food is not good that much.. but we can eat.
Sometimes in hostel there is non availability of water . In bathrooms

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it has more scope in India as India is a developing country. It also has government jobs more than other fields. We can shift to it sector this is the flexibility of this course.

Everything about my college

When I was applying for engineering, I had filled applications for a few other NITs and state engineering colleges, but finally I chose NIT Hamirpur because of its good academic reputation, supportive campus environment, and better placement opportunities compared to the others. Some colleges I applied to had very high cutoffs and I couldn’t make it there because my JEE Main score was slightly lower than required, but NIT Hamirpur’s cutoff matched my rank, so I got admission here. The admission process was through JEE Main followed by JoSAA counseling, which is the most common and preferred route for B.Tech aspirants. The eligibility was 12th pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and the cutoff for civil engineering here was comparatively achievable for me. The overall admission process was transparent and smooth, from registering for counseling to final seat allotment.
