In computer science there is a lot of scope in IT sector also the avg package is higher than any other branch. Coming to curriculum it's good enough to prepare you to enter the tech industry.we learn C and python in first year ,coming to exams there is 1 midsem and one end sem examination in every semester.which carry 30% and 70% weightage respectively.

Internships Opportunities

Internships opportunities are good here many students get interned in Google and Microsoft every year .There is good network of college so it helps other students to get into FAANG companies easily...

Placement Experience

7th semester students are eligible for campus placements. No. Of comapanies are good enough like Samsung Google etc percentage placement is 90% with 97% in computer science highest package for cse was 1.5crore .

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fee is 62500 per semester which is good as compared to facilities provided .The whole course fees is around 6-7 lacs .the college provide 100 % fee remmision to student with income less than 1 lac and 2/3rd fee remission for students with income between 1-5 lacs.

Campus Life

Campus life is good ,there is a cultural fest hillfair and technical fest nimbus every year . There is a library in which which we can issue books anytime .classrooms are good condition with good benches and projectors .also there is lot of clubs in which students can be part.

Hostel Facilities

Rooms are 3 seater and 4 seater in which we get cupboard bed and table .rooms are spacious .food quality is decent .we have to pay 30thousand each semester for mess and hostel fees .we get 4 meal a day .

Admission

So I am first year undergrad at NIT Hamirpur, I appeared for the entrance JEE MAINS . I got 99.1percentile and pursuing btech in computer science here. So jee mains happened twice a year generally first attempt is in January and second is in April . The exam is of 3 hours in which you have to attempt 75 questions .in which 20 are MCQs and 5 are integer type questions.There is a negative marking of -1 in each question and each question carry 4 marks.

Placements are average , it totally depends on the students skills and their cgpa. From 5th sem students become eligible for campus placements.
