The college has been great but I think they can get better with the management.
Entrance Preview
Amity University Kolkata is the best possible option that was available also it is very near to my home as I stay in Newtown so that was a plus point.i had seniors studying there already who gave a very good feedback about the college and the faculties.
Internships Opportunities
The college does provide internships but it's not a surety. Like I wanted an internship in Industrial psychology which was difficult so I arranged it on my own
Placement Experience
For other departments placements are good. They have recently made a placement cell where they have hired people for specifically this purpose. They try their best to get the best placement for the students but it in the end also depends on the student.
College Events
There are a lot of events that are celebrated in our college. Like teacher's day, children's day , autism month, the annual fest, other cultural and dance festivals. Also, we celebrate the farewells and the freshers for different departments every year
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure of Amity University Kolkata is feasible for BA honors Applied Psychology but I think for ba LLB and B.Com LLB it's a bit on the higher side. For ba Honours Applied Psychology the semester fee varies for the semester to semester. And there is obviously a fixed admission amount
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes. The college provides the scholarship and loan both facilities as I had scored around 87 on my boards so I got 50% scholarship.
Campus Life
Altogether the campus is very good. The classrooms, labs everything is air-conditioned. Also in the college, there is a basketball court, football court, auditorium which is huge we have different labs for every subject like for psychology there is a completely different lab.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities are nice. They are made up really well and as we know Amity stands out when it's about the infrastructure. The hostel has proper lightening, AC everything. The mess food is nice. You get a variety of food every day, food is a good thing there.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes. There are groups on social media for the alumni also the college will have a get together where they will call all the students and the alumni
Exam Structure
The exam structure is normal. Like I said they teach about 10-12 subjects per semester so before the end semester examinations there take the internals which is of 30 marks. Followed by the end semester examinations which is of 70 marks. Also, there are supplementary examinations.
Admission
I went to the college and collected the application form which was about 1500 I filled the application form and submitted it. You can also do it online. Then they provided me with a microsite login where I could see when the interview and the entrance exam.is scheduled , after the entrance exam and interview I got selected
Faculty
The faculty of Amity University Kolkata is very nice, helpful and they try to help the students as much as they can. With whatever the issue is. We also have teachers with a psychology background who help students with their daily challenges and problems that they face.
