College is nice and beautiful, greenery is there.
Grounds for sports indoor and outdoor like basketball, football, volleyball, tennis, badminton
Campus is good with good wifi connectivity.

Dislikes

Hostel doesn't have enough water in the E block.
Absence of swimming pool even in such an institute
Very restrictions regarding roaming outside for first years.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum focuses the student to get familiar with all coures in 1 st year. Then from 2nd year, onwards it becomes subject oriented. The exams have moderate difficulty . Mid sem and end sem are main exams and has 20-60 weightage with 20 internal. Quizzes , tests are taken along with assignment for internals. Attendance rate of 70% is required to sit in end sem exams.

Fees and Financial Aid

Well, the tuition fees is high for general students. For sc/st there is fee waiver of whole of academic fees and only have to pay hostel fees which is 30000 average. For persons having income more than 5 lakhs have fees of 82000 academic and less than 1 lakh have of 21000.

Campus Life

Tech fest is nimbus, cultural fest is hillffair, sports fest is lalkaar. The participation of students is good. Books are available in library and also e-books are present. Every classroom have projectors and greenboards . There are many clubs here related to nearly every field.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel have 5 blocks(A, B, C, D, E). First four are old, and have accomodation of 3 people while E have accomodation for 4 people and is relatively new. Lockers , bed, table, chairs are provided and each romm have a balcony. Mess menu is decided by students so no worry about that. Hostel fees is 60000 yearly. The registration process for hostel is offline so you have to visit the hostel for that.

Hostel Fee: INR 35000 per year

Admission

To enroll in the institute one has to clear the jee entrance exam. All the things can be found on Institute's sites. The jee exam is held twice in a year in april and june. You can clear it to get admisiion in nit's. Well it can be said that it is tough and i think everyone knows about it having so much registration and crowd for it but much less seats. You need to participate in josaa counselling after that

Lack of auditoriium so most of gathering will be in open air theatre

The campus really respects diversity. Students from different states and countries study together and that inclusion makes a big difference
The infrastructure and fab faculties are unmatched, for people dedicated to carrying out research, they have almost everything atvtheir disposal
Extra curricular activities make sure one is involved in multiple volunteery things rather than just academics

Dislikes

Relevant placement opportunities with good packages can be improved
The fee for courses could be regularised
Mode of exam conduction should be completely offline to ensure transparency

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in last semester. They can choose to sit in placements and select if they would like to join the company theyve been selected for. Eligible candidates do end up getting great packages

campus placement is good to moderate means is great avg package is 600000 as of my b.tech cse. yes for eligible for campus by 75% attendance , have to not a backlog in any sem need to pass each semester .

Campus is very good and nice view from college
Faculty is polite and very helpful and kind

Very less internship and placement option
Very slow wifi speen and only 1 gb per day

Course Curriculum Overview:

Updated to align with NEP-2020 guidelines starting from 2023 onward. CSE (AI & DS) branch includes modern subjects like Data Science, Machine Learning, Python, Cloud basics. Core branches (ECE, ME, EE, CE) follow standard Indian engineering frameworks with essential subjects. Syllabus similar to other govt engineering colleges under HP Tech University, so fairly up to date.

the fee structure are affordable for any one and hostel are also very cheap
they also help student to build cinfidence as many event are there so a person can loose his stage fear
the support of teacher for students is very good

Dislikes

i would say that the computer labs are not in very good conditions
the computer are not even advantageouos for aiml student
the infrastructre is not that good even no wifi facility

Placement Experience:

so as the first batch of cse ai ml is going to passout this year so there is no record of placement but hoping that their placement would be good as per teacher's expectations and also they provide intership in iit mandi

The faculty and staff are well qualified appx. all are phd .
The junior senior interaction is good .
There is good coding culture and all senior all helpful .

Dislikes

Area of college is 15 km from una city .
The curriculum us hectic in each semester it has atleast 6 subject.

Placement Experience:

My college offer above good placement . About 85-90% of the eligible student get placed with median package of 9 lakh and average of 11 lakh . Our placement incharge is Nistha Hooda. Highest placement is of 60 lakh and minimum is 4 lakh

Likes

Hostel fees is quite less despite providing many facilities.
Mess food is tasty and campus is small but clean and beautiful.
Curriculum is up-to-date. Teachers are helpful and friendly.

Dislikes

There are many unnecessary restrictions in hostel.
Sometimes you have too wait too long for food in mess.
Less events are organized and sports infrastructure is not too good.

Placement Experience:

Placements are average , it totally depends on the students skills and their cgpa. From 5th sem students become eligible for campus placements. TCS, Infosys, Redhat vistited the campus and made more than 200 offers. 171+ companies visited. Highest package is 1.11cr, average is 6lpa. 70% students gets placed. Planning to go in tech related jobs in industries after getting the degree.

I like the campus, there is greenery all over the campus.
Sports and cultural clubs and the festivals
very good wifi facility in the campus. And good gender ratio in institute

Dislikes

Climate is hot during summer. But winters are appreciable
Mess food is not good that much.. but we can eat.
Sometimes in hostel there is non availability of water . In bathrooms

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it has more scope in India as India is a developing country. It also has government jobs more than other fields. We can shift to it sector this is the flexibility of this course.

Everything about my college

When I was applying for engineering, I had filled applications for a few other NITs and state engineering colleges, but finally I chose NIT Hamirpur because of its good academic reputation, supportive campus environment, and better placement opportunities compared to the others. Some colleges I applied to had very high cutoffs and I couldn’t make it there because my JEE Main score was slightly lower than required, but NIT Hamirpur’s cutoff matched my rank, so I got admission here. The admission process was through JEE Main followed by JoSAA counseling, which is the most common and preferred route for B.Tech aspirants. The eligibility was 12th pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and the cutoff for civil engineering here was comparatively achievable for me. The overall admission process was transparent and smooth, from registering for counseling to final seat allotment.
