Likes

College is good enough.A great weather condition in which you feel every season of the year.The College has beautiful architecture.Main attraction are OAT,SP, Auditorium and some other places
The Nescafe and verka shops inside the campus.There are two Nescafe and one verka shop which have delecious food items
A lot of workshop on different topics is given by various societies and clubs,which help individuals to learn skill that help them to make their CV

Dislikes

Senior-junior relations are ended up on fights because the ego clashes
The connectivity is very far for market and not a good spot nearby where we can go with friends

Course Curriculum Overview

My course is ece and I don't choose it by choice.i got shortlist this branch .this branch is good and we get the knowledge of both domain hardware and software .The core of this branch is difficult.But all the subjects are interesting to study

Internships Opportunities

A lot of internship opportunity is given by Traning and placement department or some student got internship through LinkedIn.Internship for core branches are given by training and placement department.In 3rd everyone is doing internship in various companies of the Country

Placement Experience

There are many student who got internship in their 3rd year and also some student who got PPO(pre placement offer) in their final year.Highest package is 40LPA.while the average package is 16LPA.The percentage vary every year but mostly it's about 70-80% depending on the branch.

Fees and Financial Aid

For general per semester fee is 79000 For general ews (salary between 1 lakh to 5 lakh) 40000 For general ews (salary below 1 lakh ) 14000 And fees for St /sc 14000 All the fees according to per semester And these details are of batch who took admission in 2022

Campus Life

Campus of nit Hamirpur is so beautiful.there is well maintained building of every department. More over there are many clubs and societies are there Our department of ece had one society named as spec and club is vibhav which participate in technical fest nimbus and also cultural feamst also held

Hostel Facilities

The room are good enough each room has 4 beds and a good space.4 study table with one chair is also available.Hostel is well fabricated and a good balcony which gives a magnificent view of sunset. And About mess the menu is good someday the food is not so good but maximum time the food is very good.Registration is based on the basis of how much room are left.A room or a PG Is easily available outside the campus but they are costly and we have to make food by ourselves

Firstly in cbse 12 exam 60 percentage And after it clear the jee main exam you can fill form on nta site there is also a reservation criteria for general cutoff 89 percentile,obc 88 percentile,sc 69 percentile and st 50

Lack of auditoriium so most of gathering will be in open air theatre

The campus really respects diversity. Students from different states and countries study together and that inclusion makes a big difference
The infrastructure and fab faculties are unmatched, for people dedicated to carrying out research, they have almost everything atvtheir disposal
Extra curricular activities make sure one is involved in multiple volunteery things rather than just academics

Dislikes

Relevant placement opportunities with good packages can be improved
The fee for courses could be regularised
Mode of exam conduction should be completely offline to ensure transparency

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in last semester. They can choose to sit in placements and select if they would like to join the company theyve been selected for. Eligible candidates do end up getting great packages

Campus is very good and nice view from college
Faculty is polite and very helpful and kind

Dislikes

Very less internship and placement option
Very slow wifi speen and only 1 gb per day

Course Curriculum Overview:

Updated to align with NEP-2020 guidelines starting from 2023 onward. CSE (AI & DS) branch includes modern subjects like Data Science, Machine Learning, Python, Cloud basics. Core branches (ECE, ME, EE, CE) follow standard Indian engineering frameworks with essential subjects. Syllabus similar to other govt engineering colleges under HP Tech University, so fairly up to date.

the fee structure are affordable for any one and hostel are also very cheap
they also help student to build cinfidence as many event are there so a person can loose his stage fear
the support of teacher for students is very good

Dislikes

i would say that the computer labs are not in very good conditions
the computer are not even advantageouos for aiml student
the infrastructre is not that good even no wifi facility

Placement Experience:

so as the first batch of cse ai ml is going to passout this year so there is no record of placement but hoping that their placement would be good as per teacher's expectations and also they provide intership in iit mandi

The faculty and staff are well qualified appx. all are phd .
The junior senior interaction is good .
There is good coding culture and all senior all helpful .

Dislikes

Area of college is 15 km from una city .
The curriculum us hectic in each semester it has atleast 6 subject.

Placement Experience:

My college offer above good placement . About 85-90% of the eligible student get placed with median package of 9 lakh and average of 11 lakh . Our placement incharge is Nistha Hooda. Highest placement is of 60 lakh and minimum is 4 lakh

Likes

Hostel fees is quite less despite providing many facilities.
Mess food is tasty and campus is small but clean and beautiful.
Curriculum is up-to-date. Teachers are helpful and friendly.

Dislikes

There are many unnecessary restrictions in hostel.
Sometimes you have too wait too long for food in mess.
Less events are organized and sports infrastructure is not too good.

Placement Experience:

Placements are average , it totally depends on the students skills and their cgpa. From 5th sem students become eligible for campus placements. TCS, Infosys, Redhat vistited the campus and made more than 200 offers. 171+ companies visited. Highest package is 1.11cr, average is 6lpa. 70% students gets placed. Planning to go in tech related jobs in industries after getting the degree.

I like the campus, there is greenery all over the campus.
Sports and cultural clubs and the festivals
very good wifi facility in the campus. And good gender ratio in institute

Dislikes

Climate is hot during summer. But winters are appreciable
Mess food is not good that much.. but we can eat.
Sometimes in hostel there is non availability of water . In bathrooms

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it has more scope in India as India is a developing country. It also has government jobs more than other fields. We can shift to it sector this is the flexibility of this course.

Everything about my college

When I was applying for engineering, I had filled applications for a few other NITs and state engineering colleges, but finally I chose NIT Hamirpur because of its good academic reputation, supportive campus environment, and better placement opportunities compared to the others. Some colleges I applied to had very high cutoffs and I couldn’t make it there because my JEE Main score was slightly lower than required, but NIT Hamirpur’s cutoff matched my rank, so I got admission here. The admission process was through JEE Main followed by JoSAA counseling, which is the most common and preferred route for B.Tech aspirants. The eligibility was 12th pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and the cutoff for civil engineering here was comparatively achievable for me. The overall admission process was transparent and smooth, from registering for counseling to final seat allotment.
