A detailed review about biotechnology course in smvdu

This course is mainly about fulfiling the basic needs of mankind without destroying nature . Infact with the help of microorganisms through biotechnology we can generate products whic are helpful for us . Here we are also making use of plant tissue culture which can contribute in afforestation, generating food etc. By studying biotechnology we can actually contribute in human welfare and also protect our nature. OverAll the teacing methods for this course are good .. I personally think that along with syllabus some extra knowledge should be given to the students about how to write their own research paper.. how to get projects internships doing an extra course etc. The exam is taken 3times In a semester i.e 6months but usually the semester is ended within 4-5months .. and exams aur taken after a gap of just 15-20days. So preparation time is less. One can only secure gud percentile if he/she studies on daily basis.

The biotechnology dept itself provides internship free of cost in the campus only . Otherwise one has to apply for getting internship outside the campus for better experience exposure etc . Univ doesn't help the student in getting an internship outside.. he/she has to find it

The academic Fee structure for msc in biotechnology is 75000(approx.) for 1 year . The complete cost including every expense would be approx 170000 for 2years which i think is not expensive at all. Financial aid for category is available i.e st sc ews etc Scholarship through gat-b is available. For single girl child scholarship js available. And if a student gets 90% or above in every semester then he/she gets a scholarship of 20k per semester . No campus employment available.

Festivals like titiksha and resurgence happen in university. Also winter fest, dj nights happend in 1 year In library books are available which can help also ebooks are also available Projector is available in the class One can play whatever he is interested in . volunteer groups are there made by students only many clubs like Dance , music , art , theatre, photography, sports etc are there which are run by students only. Campus life is not so good lil boring according to me ???? fests dont happen frequently like in other universities

In the hostel room there is a study table , chair, book rack, a bed and an almira. Curtains are also there . But the washroom is common . They don't provide a seperate washroom, one coriander has a common washroom area which has seperate bathing area and freshen up area. Mess meal is good Other than hostel there is no such option for pg as the university is in rural area. No rented accommodation available in that area For hostel registration one can visit services section in smvdu samarth student portel

Any individual which has done bachelors of science in any subject is eligible for this course . The application form can be filled by visiting the university site i.e smvdu.samarth.edu.in and the fees for application is most probably free if you have cleared any government entrance exam like gat-b or CUET-pg . Otherwise the fees would be nearly Rs.1000. University itself doesn't take any entrance exam students are taken through cuet pg or gat b only. The whole admission process is online on their samarth portal so no need to visit the university again n again. Just for document verification you need to visit the university. Also the class strength they take is not so huge i.e not more than 40 students are taken. Univ has its own 3-4 labs for the experimental work but in this course they don't provide placements but there are placements in other courses. This university could be an option if ur not getting a really good college . Consider this univ. as an option only not a priority.
