KIIT-Everything you need to Know

(1). The course curruculum is on par with other indian colleges and universities but it surely needs to upgrade itself to compete on the global stage. (2). Barring a few,most of the teachers are very knowledgable having a firm grasp on the course they teach. (3). Many students take different online courses such as Web Development,App Development,Machine Learning,Data Science,Competitive Programming as these are not taught till th 4th Semester and are taught in the 6th Semester. (4). These different technologies should be included from the 1st year itself in the course curriculum. (5). The exams are of medium difficulty and if any student prepares well,then he can definitely score high CGPA.

(1). An internship fair is held at the end of 6th semester where many companies visit the campus to provide internhsip opportunities to the students. (2). Roles include SDE Intern,Junior Data Scientist,App Developer Intern,Web Developer Intern,ML Intern,etc. among others. (3). Internship last for around 2-3 months. (4). Internships are either remote or on-site. (5). Companies which visite the campus for internships include Amazon,Microsoft,Capgemini,Cognizant,Accenture,TCS,Infosys,Dell,HP,Razorpay,HSVC,EY,Yugabyte,Deloitte,JP Morgan Chase,MacKinsey,Salesforce,VmWare,etc. (6). Some students who perform well in their internships get PPO(Pre-Placement Offers) from the companies they did their internships in.

(1). Companies start visiting for placements right from the starting of 7th Semester and it continues till 8th Semester. (2). In 2023,highest package offered was 63 LPA nad the median package was 8.5 LPA. Around 450+ companies visited giving 5200+ job offers. (3). Some of the companies that visited included Adani,Phillips,Deloitte,TCS,Wipro,Infosys,Yugabyte,Cognizant,Capgemini,Mindtree,IBM,Ericsson,Bosch,CISCO,HSBC,Hindustan Unilever,Razorpay,etc. (4). Around 95-100% students got placed in various different companies in varied roles. (5). Students have the option of either going for higher studies in india ir abroad,sit in placement and accep the job offers or go for research.

(1). Tution fees for students taking admission in 2022-23 session was 175000 per semester. The tution fees is static and remains same till the 4th year. (2). Tution fees increases every year by around 7-9% for newer batches. (3). During admission,a fee of 75000 is charged which includes several things like laptop,bucket,mug,mattress,pillow,2 bed sheets and pillow covers. (4). Mess Fees is 22500 per semester. (5). Hostel Fees ranges from 28000 per semester to 60000 per semester depending upon the type of room chosen and allotted. (6). 3 types of scholarships and financial assisstance are provided- (a). Under 1000 rank in KIITEE exam. These students get 10000 per month as financial assisstance until they have CGPA>8.0 (b). Top 3 students of each branch also get 10000 per month till the next semester. (c). Those with family income less than 5 LPA also get financial assisstance.

(1). The Overall Experience in the Campus is very good to be honest. The campus is lush green and very huge. There are many places to roam around and explore in and around the campus. (2). There are many shops in the vicinity which take care of every small things whether be it stationary,clothes,barber,restaurant,small eateries,street food,etc. (3). There are many events organised by different societies. KIIT MUN and KIITFEST are the flagship events. (4). KIIT has a very huge central library of 6 floors. Each floor has thousands of books of different fields be it Novels,Tech,Psychology,Literature,Medical,Law,etc. (5). Each Department also have their own department library which the students can access. (6). Sports is very much promoted in KIIT. In KIIT,we have a Cricket Stadium,a Football Stadium,a Rugby Stadium,a Hockey Stadium,a Chess Hall,a Cycling Velodrome. (7). There is a Central Gymnasium and several other gyms near different hostels.

(1). Hostel Registration starts when you receive an email from the hostel department after successful deposite of 75000 for registrtion process. You have to fill your option for room type. (2). There are 4 room types- (a). 3 Bed Non A/C - Price 28000 per semester (b). 2 Bed Non A/C - Price 40000 per semester (c). 3 Bed A/C - Price 50000 per semester (d). 2 Bed A/C Premium - 60000 per semester (3). 2Bed A/C premium has attached toilet/bathroom. Rest all roo types have common toilet/bathroom. (4). Bucket,Mug,Bed,Mattress,Pillow,Pillow Covers,Bed Sheets are provided to everyone. (5). Hostel Meal Quality can be rated as 7/10. Sometimes,it may be bad and one may need to order from outside. Sometimes,we have special menu during festivals. (6). 24/7 Water Filter RO Water,24/7 Electricity,Solar-Powered,Daily Houseekeping service,Washing Machine and Laundry Facility.

(1). The eligibilty is PCM in Class 12th with minimum 75% marks. (2). The exam is conducted offline in different exam centres in Computer Based Test mode. (3). The application form is free. (4). All the details can be found on the website kiitee.kiit.ac.in (5). The difficulty level is on par with VITEEE. (6). After the exam, the result is announced with the branch you have got according to your preference order and rank received. (7). For taking admission,an amoun of 75000 needs to be deposited of which 65000 is refundable if someone wants to withdraw. (8). With those 75000,many things are provided such as Laptop,Mattress,Bucket,Mug,Pillow,2 Bedsheets and Pillow Covers.
