The course syllabus for the 1st year is easy and relevant to all Engineering Fields. The 1st year of engineering includes subjects from electrical, mechanical and Sciences also. The core syllabus or the respective branch syllabus starts from 2nd year. Subjects like Data Structure, Automata, Operating Systems, Database Managemnet System are very important from GATE point of view. Every year question comes from these subjects for sure. ALso these subjects are required to make a student industry ready. Concepts on object oriented programming and Computer Networking are very important from Placemnet point of view. The basics in these topics have to be clear in order to pass the placement interview. Also, Faculties provide lecture notes and pdf from where students can refer for Semester exams and other exams. There are 8 End semester and 8 mid semester exam. The marks distribution is 50(end) + 20(mid) + 30(internal) = 100.

The university offers many internship opportunities from Different Companies. HigherRadius offers more than 800+ internships to KIIT students with a stipend of Rs. 8000 as there is a tie up between the two . They offer roles in differnt domains such as Web development, Testing, Debugger and other domains. Students having skill in the particular domain apply for internship and then according to their cv/resume, they are shorlisted. Other company like Wipdro, Delloite, HP and other mncs offer more internships to students. The projects that students work on mainly are a real life experience how work goes on in the industry. they gain industry experiences from internships

Placements record according to 2023: The highest package is Rs. 63 Lakhs and the average package is Rs. 6.5 lakhs. the highest package was offered by YugaByte. Comapanies like Wipro, Accenture, Cognizant and other Mass Recruiters visit the campus and hire students in a lot. Super dream offers are offered by companies like Delloite, Adobe, Snapdragon, Microsoft, Google and other companies. Students are eligible to sit for campus placements from 6th Semester onwards. They need qualify the cgpa and no backlog criteria set by the companies. Nearly 85 to 90% students get placed. Rest go for higher studies and other ways of earning and to settle in their life.

The total fee structure of Kalinga Institute of Industrial technology is almost 18lakhs to 20 lakhs. The total tuition fee is Rs. 1400000. Rs. 175000 per semester has to be paid by the students. The students have to pay Rs. 75000 at admission forbooking a seat for which college provides a Lenevo laptop with a very High specifications. Other than that, Rs 1000 each has to be paid for Semester Registration and End Semester exam. Students get scholarship for ranking between 1 to 1000. The amount of scholarship is of Rs. 10000 per month. Students have to renew their scholarship every semester maintaining some rules and regulations decided by the University.

Campus life at kiit is life changing. The social exposure that a student gets at kiit is huge. There are numerous societies where a student can enroll into by passing the recruitment drives. The students has to have a particular skill in a particular domain in order to get into a society. i am part of GeeksForGeeks Society which is a coding society. We organise different events and hackathons where students can take part and show their talents. The annual festival of kiit is known as KIITFEST. This is year it was the 7th edition of it held in February. KIIT has a Huge Central Library with 5 floors. There are all types of books available. The classrooms are fully air conditioned and the campus is equipped with Wfi services all over. Also, classrooms have Smart Boards. There are different types of labs also. The sports infrastructure at kiit is awesome. it has many stadiums and indoor stadiums

There are many types of Hostel occupation at kiit. Girls and Boys Hostels are separately situated in deifferent campuses. Every hostel has its own mess. Each hostel has wifi service with a daily limit of 5Gb per student each day. Rooms have beds and study tables and cupboards according to the room occupation such 3 bed room has 3 beds, 3 tables and 3 cupboards. Also premeium rooms are present which have attached bathroom facility. A one time payment is charged by the university of Rs. 15000 for providing, matress, pillow, pillow covers and bedsheet. The mess menu for every day is differnt and 4 meals are served every day. Non veg and veg options are available at all 4 meals. Hostel registration process is to be done while taking admission into the university

The eligibility for the course is 60% marks in PCM at 10+2 level. The application form is available on the university website: www.kiit.ac.in. The form can be filled free of cost. The form is released in the month of december and generally there are 4-5 phases. The exam entrance name is KIITEE. The exam pattern is of 120 questions, 30 questions from 4 sections: Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and Aptitude reasoning and the time limit is 120 minutes or 2 hours. The questions are more or less easy to moderate type and can be solved easily within a minute. some question may be twisted, better would be to skip them otherwise negative marking. After the KIITEE results are out, students undergo counselling on website portal. Students can get Computer Science and Engineering easily if they can secure atleast 80 percentile in KIITEE. After filling the choices, students are assigned the branch as per their marks. And after that, students pay Rs. 75000 to book their seat in that branch.
