- College infrastructure is very good and cleanliness colleges priority
- Greenary parks are available just outside the college buildings
- Labs and library are fully functional and well equipped.you can access library very easily.
Dislikes
- In the campus there is huge problem with food there are two canteen but none of them serve good food.
- Washrooms and drinking water facility should be improved
- Non permanent official as there should be permanent vc if permanent vc is here our college will grow more well.
Course Curriculum Overview
Aspects which influence me to choose this course is for lateral entry in b.tech there are very few options are available and if available there is problem with that they are not conducting exams on time . Curriculum is good but not industry ready after completing your course you need a proper traing to be industry ready I think in our engineering syllabus new updates and technology of new real world based should introduced as updated syallabus University conducts 2 exams per year every ,6 month we have our semester exams odd semester exams generally happens in December-january and even semester exams happens generally in May-june Talking about timing you have to take 3hours exam for 80 marks questions are on tough side .
Fees and Financial Aid
There is no tution fee increase policy since five years no there is no fees hike as our senior told us. Complete cost of our course for a year is 15 thousand and calculating it for three years total expenses done on our course should be 45000 till completion of my course. As Aliah University does not sponser any kind of scholarship but you can apply your State scholarship for example for West Bengal student there is scholarship Named aikyashree which facilities students with 60000 a year students also can apply for central scholarship Named NSP which facilitates student with 20000 per year if your State does not sponser any scholarship you can apply for NSP.
Campus Life
Aura is tech fest organised by our university with collaboration with different universities and institutions it generally happens in January-February.you can participate in this if you are a science enthusiast. And there is a cultural fest which organised during winters likely in November-december Classroom are classic classrooms if there is a need of smart class room in our department there are 2-3 smart class room are there if professors feel need of that they arrange that accordingly . Coming to extracurricular activities you can join NSS to serve here And NCC is also there if you are sports enthusiast you have a heaven here there are almost all sports team available here you can participate in that and indoor games are also available Yes
Admission
Course I am peruing is b.tech mechanical engineering through lateral entry in this course you get directly admission into the 2nd year and 3rd semester .for this you have to complete diploma engineering from any recognised board or university Applications are available in aliah University official website in their admission section generally applications are released in March-April. This session application are ongoing from 18th of March I didn't availed any reservation as I belongs to UP and any student outside the West Bengal is treated as general category. Aliah University admission test happens once a year talking about questions there is 100 mcqs for which you will get 2 hours.
