Remarks

Principal of the college has changed this year. This principal made some changes in the college to protect the college environment for garbage which I personally like very much.

Entrance Preview

This was first referred to by my uncle. But I didn't agree. Then I went on some reviews about college and got some information regarding the infrastructure, faculty and the value of a bachelors degree in the college. Then I felt like joining in the college. After joining I came to know that I chose the correct college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum of any course is divided into theory and practice. The students are given both theory and practical knowledge about the subject. The classes are divided into 6-day order. There are 4 classes of theory and one class practical once in 6 days of college.

Internships Opportunities

Many companies MNC's come to our college for hiring the students for internships and jobs after the completion of the particular degree. Presently, I'm doing my internship with Paperboat.

College Events

Our college also has some historical events and fests. Our college has a club for nature named as Prakriti club. Club members celebrate a fest named Aavni which is the only nature fest in twin cities. Each department has their own club. Clubs conduct different events in the college for students of the college and also conducts inter college fests.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure of the college is feasible and worthy. The college has both academic and as well as non-academic aspects. Fees depends on the course selected. College fees are taken for teaching, library, maintenance, labs, sports and other extracurricular activities. So the fees are worthy.

Fees and Financial Aid

College offers scholarships. But I don't have any idea about the education loan. I don't have any knowledge about the scholarships.

Campus Life

It is a Womens college. College campus is full of green and attractive. Students enjoy coming college. Peaceful environment. There are indoor stadium, volley ball court, throw ball court open for all the students at all the time. Labs are also available depending on the course.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

College hostel is mostly provided for Christian and Catholic students. All the facilities, food, security, etc., of hostel are taken care by the college. Hostel mess food is good. Every thing in the hostel goes in a systematic way. There are prayers, meets etc., for Christian and catholic students by the caretakers.

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students are really very helpful for new students or freshers who are not well known about the college academic procedure.

Admission

The candidate who wanted to join the college should fill the details in a form through online. Then they have to get the hard copy to the college on the day of admissions. Admissions are based on the marks in 12th standard. Either state board or CBSC.

A life of an Average Indian Student in University

Likes

I really like the faculty in the college. Most of the faculty are so supportive. They would be available to help us during any time of the day.
I really like the mentor system that this college follows. We are provided with mentors and they supervise our academic performance
This college do provide with many clubs like cooking club, photography club and many more. The management also encourages us a lot to paticipate in events

Dislikes

I really get mad with the attendance system here. I have to attend 7 to 8 classes to increase 1% where as if i miss 1 class i will lose 1%
The campus is located outside the city outskirts so its really hard to get things.
This university only conducts one mid for semester and that leads to reduce in marks

Placement Experience:

My course is a 3 years course and the students could try for a placement from the start of 3rd year. They would have enough knowledge about the outside world by that time and they could start to apply for jobs and companies that they desire to work for. In our stream there are many companies that have visited us like gala foods, Nestle, Calavita, National Biodiversity Authority, Dodla Diary etc. I do not have an excat idea about the packages but that would range across 8LPA to 14LPA. Almost every student around 95 % get placed into the companies and few also opt for government sector for Quality Control Management, FSSAI and etc. My plans after completing B.Sc in Food Sciences Technology would be pursuing Masters degree

A review of st Francis from a students perspective

I was considering Loyola College Secunderabad. However, due to its bad reputation, I chose St Francis. At Francis has a fairly easy admission process. Applicants must fill out the admission form provided on the college website and provide a scanned copy of the required documents. Once confirmed, an email will be received, after which applicants should pay the tuition fees. No examination is required for admission. However, a minimum of 75 percent is required in your intermediate....Read More

Why choose St.Francis College for Women

The admission process takes place online. The student has to look for the online enrollment dates and submit the application. If the student is eligible it sends a mail that they have been selected and particular dates are given to go to college and submit hard copies. The college has experienced faculty and a vast library. The college encourages students to participate in all kinds of extracurricular activities and not just make them focus on their studies. The food in the canteen is good. The college has an auditorium, indoor stadium, outdoor sports area, parking space for students. All the classrooms have projectors and screens. I chose this college because it is the best in the city for girls to pursue degrees....Read More
