Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this B.Tech in CSE because the computer is my passion and there are more opportunities in the work field for this course. The curriculum is preparing me very much for the real world. As now an employee must know the uses of computer and have to be pro in it. The course curriculum and teaching methods are good till now. The frequency of exams is too fast. The difficulty level is also a little bit tough.
Internships Opportunities
There are many opportunities for internships in KIIT. Many companies give internship opportunities to students. A student has to carry 8 credits as a CGPA. And have to complete at least 4 semesters to get an internship. Most of the companies give a stipend of 15000-20000/month but some companies give 40000-60000/month as stipend.
Placement Experience
From 7th semester students are eligible for campus placement. Some of the students get offer letters after the 5th semester. There are many companies visited in KIIT. The number of companies visited in KIIT is 350 and the total job offer is 4000+. Last year Highest package was 63 lakhs and the average package in KIIT is 6.5 lakh/year. Around 90% of students got placement from KIIT last year. After getting the degree I will go for higher studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
Our tuition fee is a little bit high but it is constant. The complete cost of my education fees(1465000 ), service fees( including hostel and mess(420000) and other compulsory charges is around 21 lakhs. KIIT Merit Scholarship varies from around 5000-10000 per month.
Campus Life
Kiit Fest - it is the annual fest of KIIT which is held in February. There are many tech fests held in KIIT in the winter-autumn season. There are many more tech-fest held in KIIT throughout the whole year. There is a huge amount of books available in the library and students can borrow books from there. The classrooms are well-decorated with technology. There are AC, Microphone, smart camera, smart tv are available in rooms. KIIT is one of the best universities for sports enthusiast students. There are many sports complexes, one big indoor stadium, many gyms, and international-sized cricket, football, rugby and hockey stadiums are there. There are many social groups and clubs is KIIT to improve the student life experience.
Hostel Facilities
There are 5 types of hostel rooms situated in KIIT. Those are 3-bed non-ac, 2-bed non-ac, 3-bed ac, 3-bed ac premium, 2-bed ac premium. The costs of these hostels are accordingly rs 28000/semester, rs 40000/semester, rs 50000/semester, rs 70000/semester and rs 80000/semester. Smoking, drinking and using any kind of heavy electric product in the room is prohibited. The meal menu is good but the quality of food sometimes decreases. Hostel Registration fees is only 15000 rs.
Admission
My university takes an entrance exam that is KIITEE. You have to pass the 12th to apply for the examination form. One can find the application form, application fees and application dates on their website. No reservation benefits are there. Timing is ok and toughness is also good. The admission process is good.
