What Students Say

Likes

they have great buliding structure mean everyone praises that main campus building is nice
I like that they organise fest about coding so we get to know more about coding
I like that they provide financial assistance or scholarship to students

Dislikes

they don't organise that much fest about coding or anything
teacher have great knowledge but they don't how to teach properly
they also don't provide that much high package according to other colleges

Course Curriculum Overview

0.5

In my opinion this course is great for coding or high level coding and i think in our college teachers has great knowledge about coding..In college they organise fest about coding and they also have groups so I think that influence me to choose this course

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 96400 per year

Internships Opportunities

4.5

companies like Cisco and amazon students also work their for good amount and also TCS Adobe Wipro etc Projects like online auction system, online EBook maker, face detection etc and students who clarify this task they get some new tasks and they also paid them

Placement Experience

3.5

In semester 2 students get training about coding etc and in semester 4 students went in different places or companies like in Chandigarh Mohali Delhi etc and i semester 7 or 8 students get training about work etc or they get projects and according to that they got the marks or cgpa and the highest average package is about 800000 ...my plans after getting degree is to get job in good company where they provide a good package and they provide placement for the students that have cgpa above 8 in all semesters

Fees and Financial Aid

In my college the fees for 1 year is Rs 96400 and there are 2 semester in 1 year so in 2 sem I got scholarship because in 12 my percentage is above 80 or 85% so my 2 sem fees got reduced from Rs 54000 to 27000 and they have great campus employment and package about 600000 and they get a good offer from different companies and this college also provides financial assistance to many students but in very less amount

Campus Life

Annual function will be going to held in next month April and in this affiliated colleges take part and they perform cultural activities....In library they have all type of books related to study so for that we have to fill the form for library and then they issue the books to students...in my campus sports meet also helg and different colleges came to play....so my overall experience is very good

Hostel Facilities

Our hostel is in campus and in room they have good facilities like study table, chair, bed, cupboard or good fittings and furniture and the meal is also good but sometimes they make very bad meal and have menu for week only and after a week they repeat same meal and also they do not provide eggs or chicken and also not allowed in rooms and not any electric appliances lekin kettle or press.... Registration process is easy we have to fill the form and then pay the fees and then they gave us form for anti drug and alcohol and we have to get sign from our parents and i have a hostel room which is in main campus and the hostel facilities is good

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

Admission

I fill the application form online for course b tech and fill the application fees Rs 2000 and then counselling form in 2 round and then after days they release the results and cut off of 85% according to 12th marks. While getting admission in college they do a lot of formalities.

The campus is beautiful, spacious, and offers good infrastructure with modern facilities.
The university provides good exposure to technical courses, eventrs , clubs, and extracurricular activities.
The campus has good labs, a library, and facilities that support students academic development.

The fees are high and losing a scholarship due to cgpa requirements can create a significant financial burden.
More personalized mentorship and regular career guidance sessions would help student prepare for their future carees.
more internship opportunities would further improve students professional growth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the CSE curriculum covers relevant subjects and provides a good foundation programming and computer science. It prepares students for futher studies and careers, through more industry-based projects and practical learning would be bemigficial. Exams include MSTs and ESTs, with a manageable difficulty level through regi;ar preparation.

the placements in this university are great, all the big tech companies do visit while placements and provide jobs to the deserved students.

Likes

campus life is absolutely banger and it is great to have friends here
crowd is bonkers , except some local peeps , they'd be behaving weird
major events like freshers and orientation , they bring crazzy artists

Dislikes

hectic schedules drain the soul of you .
frequent exams test that are totally unnecesary
attendance is another nuisance , having 75 percent is must

Placement Experience:

placements of 2.8 cr occured but it was only one , most of the placements packages go under 8 lpa and extra fees has to be paid in order to be eligible for placement drives and that too doen't ensure the placement

A TOUR TO CGC LANDRAN

Likes

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . I am also sitting for campus placement and wish to get placed soon

College Life is Fun, Various activities and events happen in and around college, you got to know about others and crowd is also decent, Mostly Students are from northern regions that is Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand .
Teachers are good and placement coordinators also help students to get good package on campus. a decent package can be bagged by a student if he/she seriously study and obtain a decent CGPA in exam. Make sure you clear all exams till 8th semester.
Infrastructure Is also good, laboratories are fitted with new desktops and campus size is also decent, Tuck shops and various Canteens are available inside the campus. Also Central Library is there inside the campus where students can study in exam t

Dislikes

The curriculum for 1st and 2nd semester is purely based on subjects that you studied in 11th and 12th, the advance versions of those topics are there in 1st and 2nd semester which make it difficult for students to get good grades.
The placement in other branches like Mechanical, electrical is mere, and one can face difficult in getting on campus placement if he/she belongs to these streams. Also Lack of practical knowledge is there in these streams, Theory is more focused.
If one opt for hostels, then the hostel facilities are not as good as it should be , the mess food is pathetic and one can face difficulty if he/she opt for hostel, also campartively hostel fees are also very high, whereas nearby Pg's are cheaper

Placement Experience:

placement is good in our college. Aveage package is 400000, and average package for cse stream is approx 500000. Various companies like alstom, infosys, accenture, TCS, Wipro, amazon, Walmart, JP Morgan chase and co. etc visit campus every year and recruit students. Approx 300+ companies visit campus and above 80% of cse students are placed but In other streams like ECE.EE and ME etc placements are campartively lower and students face difficulty in order to get placed. MY plan is job oriented i also want to get placed on campus and hope so i will get placed in a good company.
