- All the good friends which made in college. They just boost my college experience in a positive manner
- Different fests and programs which are held in the college, which always helps in maintaining work-life balance.
Dislikes
- Hostel curfew time is too early, everyone needs to be in their hostel by 7pm
- Birthday celebrations are not allowed, if caught you’re fined with ₹10,000
- Non-uniformity between professors among college. Different professors teaching the same course will teach from their personal presentations rather than having one uniform ppt presentation for the entire college for a specific course
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very well designed as is upto dates with the present education systems. First year subjects are same as every college such as Physics, Chemistry, etc. From 2nd year onwards the courses tend to focus on the knowledge which is relevant to your specific branch. As for me in my 4th semester of perusing Computer Science I have courses such as Database Systems, Operating Systems, Computer architecture, etc
Internships Opportunities
Since I'm in my 2nd year I might not be able to give a clear picture about internships but according to my knowledge internship opportunities are provided in the college, the aversge stipend is about ?10,000. And these internships roles are provides by companis such as High Radius, TCS, Wipro, etc
Placement Experience
College placement according to my knowledge are quite good. Students are offered internships in their 3rd year, and on the basis of their performance are provided with PPO's (Pre-Placement Offer). The average package is around 5 lakhs and the highest is said to be 45 lakhs, as declared by the college.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees tend to remain the same for the whole tenure pf 4 years in which we persue our btech, there is no increase in the fees. But the college charges fees for end semester examinations, and other various other recreational programs such as fests. Yes, our college provides students with scholarships, below 1000 rankers in KITEE examination are provided with ?10,000 scholarship every month. As per now, campus employments are pretty well and there is always something going on in the college.
Campus Life
The college experience in my opinion was mid for me. There is too much student intake which makes you realise that you are becoming part of the "job competition". However socially speaking, you really enjoy the college life as well the hostel life if you make good friends. The infrastructure is very good, all the classrooms and labs are air conditioned, and the campus is neat and clean. The college is known for it's extracurricular activities, and is also known as the "Sports Hub". There are numerous student clubs and social groups, of which you can be a part of and get to develop soft skills.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are changed after the first year. Hostel life really depends on which hostel you are alloted to. For boys average curfew time here is 7pm, you should be inside hostel before 7 or else you'll be fined. The mess food is mid, it's better as compared to most of the colleges but not the best. Again some hostels provide quite good food while others don't. Hostel registration is done while admission and availability is good and can easily accommodate 70% of the college's population.
Admission
The admission process was quite smooth. We had to appear for the college entrance examination 'KITEE'. And then we were provided with our results after few days. And branch selection portal was opened, and branches were alloted according to the ranks and score of the KITEE examination.
