- Lush Green campus, and the infrastructure is also vey nice. It has got an amazing MBA garden and a Rose Garden.
Dislikes
- The in-time of the hostels is very early, compared to other colleges. It should be atleast till 9pm.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum that is followed by KIIT is according to the guildlines of UGC, the faculty members of KIIT are very good, atleast most of them, you always get some eww kind profeesors, but they are very few. I would not say that the curriculum makes instantly ready for job, because no college does that. The exams are conducted according to the schedule, and timely mid-sem and end-sem exams of 20 and 50 marks respectively with 30 marks internals that are with professors.
Internships Opportunities
The intenship oppurtunities at KIIT are available from the starting of 3rd year. There are many companies who visit the campus and most of them offer a stipend. KIIT previously had a tie-up with HighRadius which gave internship to around 1500 students and PPO to around 700 of them but now this tie-up has closed.
Placement Experience
The placements at KIIT are decent, they was a time during 2012-16 when it was vey good, but after that the placements season has not been improving, frankly I dont know the reason behind it. I am completely dependent on my college for placement and currently have no other plan.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure I am giving are updated fees structure: Semster Fees - Tution fees : 1,95,000 Hostel Fees(3 bed non-ac) : 28,000 Mess Fees : 22,500 Examination Fees(1 time before End-sem): 1000 The KIIT provides one major scholarship that is KIITEE scholarship, which you obvisouly get after KIITEE exam, you should have min. 90 percentile in KIITEE exam.
Campus Life
The KIIT offers its students a lush green campus sprawled over 700 acres. The campus is although is not at a single location instead distributed around the main Campus. The social life at KIIT is going to be very good if have some cash to burn,then ity is going to be one hell of a place, if not even then it will be very nice you will have to find peers like you and then everything else is sorted here.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel's are good here.The food quality depends on your hostel number actually, as there are different caterers,but one thing is sure in your 1st year your hostel will be KP-7 which has the worst food quality but after 2nd year it will get better.The Hostel wardens in my hostel are very chill and dont poke us or trouble us.But the in time depends on the hostel number again for us it is 7:45 max. The options for renting a PG or room are near Patia only.
Admission
I took the KIITEE exam which is conducted anually bu KIIT. They have 4 phases in time, which was conducted online, I took the exam in the 3rd phase, and secured an impressive 90 percentile, I did not pay the fees immeditately, as I was considering other colleges too, but they did not work out for me. As about the cut-off for 3rd phase it was around 70 percentile for CSE. Overall, the admisson process was smooth and had no hurdles.
