Course Curriculum Overview
In 1st year there is no core subjects so it will be easy to boost up the CGPA. But from 2nd year the curriculum is little bit hard. But I think some of the subject like Digital Electronics and other elective should be deducted from the curriculum as they are not so important for computer science students.
Internships Opportunities
Basically as a 2nd year student I don't have any experience of internship but some big companies like JP Morgan, NVDIA came for internship drives. And they offered a nice stipend also around ?75000 for 2 months of internship.
Placement Experience
After 4th semester you are eligible to get internships in companies. MNCS like JP Morgan visit for the internship program. After 6th semester you are eligible for campus placement. Above 90% student got placed every year the average salary is around 8LPA and highest salary offered this year is around 40LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
In my batch the tution fees was ?175000/semester. But from 2023 it increases upto ?192000. For my batch hostel fees was ?28000/semester for non AC 3 bed rooms, ?40000/semester for AC 3 bed rooms. And ?75000/semester for 2 bed AC Premium rooms. Mess fees ?22500/semester
Campus Life
There is a annual college fest named KIIT Fest. Generally organized in the month of February. The kIIT central library is fascinating. You will find every kind of book in it. The ambiance so good for focusing on study. Talking about the classroom they are so beautiful integrated with smartboard and projectors taking care of every student every classroom has ACs. There was many society sun by students you can join any of them to have a extra exposure or to show off your skills.
Hostel Facilities
The rooms of the hostels are pretty big. There is round to cloack WiFi network and electricity. In the time of admission they will ask you if you want to take a hostel or not. You can choose either AC or non Ac hostel according to your comfort. The mess food is average. There is a locality called Prasanti Bihar where you can rent any apartment. It is also near to the university.
Admission
There was a dedicated entrance examination conducted by KIIT University called KIITEE. The eligibility criteria is 12th pass. There is no examination fees. The exam is in online mode. You have to give the exam from the given centre that are mentioned there. You can easily find the KIITEE form by simply searching KIITEE in any browser. The exam is of 150 minutes. The question paper consists of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. You can't go back to previous question. 4 Mark for correct answer and there is negetive marking 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. The paper will be very easy sometimes they give direct questions from text books.
