- The faculty are highly experienced in their respective field and minimum are a PhD holders.
Dislikes
- The fees is quite high for middle class students.
- The placements are not good for majority of students and the average package is also not that good.
- The Hostel food is terrible on most days and south Indians face a lot of trouble adjusting to food and climate.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is pretty decent and highly comprehensive. The course is not that updated according to recent trends. The curriculum is far from meeting the real world applications for jobs. They should consider removing useless subjects like engineering drawing, Industry 4.0, CIA etc and bring some real electives that might help us in jobs. There are two exams per semester one midsem and one end and they usually happen in interval of two to three months and difficult level is easy to moderate.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are available for students from sixth semester. Many companies like high radius, Jo Morgan , Amazon, etc offer summer internship and if selected also provide full time rolls to students. A minor project is done by the students in third year and a major project is done by the students in fourth year which ultimately helps during placements.
Placement Experience
The placement are average in kiit. The student are eligible from sixth semester for campus placements and internships. Many companies like TCS, Deloitte, Accenture , Wipro, Amazon, High radius, etc visit our campus. More than 2000 offers were made by these companies. The highest package was 63 lacs and average package was around 7.5 lacs. Roughly around 80 percent students get placed. I plan to do job after completing my graduation.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is pretty simple 1.75 lacs as tution fee per semester, 28000 for non AC hostel, 22500 as message fees. They only provide scholarship to top thousand students in KIITEEE exam , the only criteria is they have to maintain a minimum 7.5 CGPA. There are no campus employment opportunities for bachelor students. There is also a 1000 rupees charge as exam fee per semester.
Campus Life
The campus life is too good as compared to any other colleges in India. Everybody gets a ton of opportunities to socialize. There are various clubs and societies run by students which one can join. There are many fests organised in kiit like kiitfest, kiit carnival, kritarth ,etc A wide variety of boks and journals are available in library which can be accessed anytime. The classrooms are air conditioned equipped with smart board and projectors. The sports facilities are one of the best in India. Many alumni of kiit are gold medalist in Olympic. Mostly every sport is available for students to try and explore their passion.
Hostel Facilities
The Hostesl are average according to me. You get a bed , a study table, a cupboard from hostel. Honestly the food is not that good. It is very difficult for South Indian to adjust with the food. The registration can be done online through kiit website or can be done manually in the hostel reception. In patia you can get many PG or flats under 10000 if one doesn't want to live in hostel.
Admission
Student should be passed with minimum sixty percent marks in PCM or its equivalent. The application form is available on Kiit website under admission. There is no fee for application i.e. it is completely free. The application form filling usually starts from November till March or April. There are two exams per semester one midsem and one end sem. Difficult is easy to moderate. The college should only consider Jee scores for taking admission in B.Tech courses.
