Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is under the guidance of AICTE and the grauates of KIIT shines in their respective field. After end of every semester the students have deep knowledge about their respective courses which helps them in future in the industrial world. The courses are designed in such a way that it makes difference between a KIITIAN and other students.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities starts from the end of 2nd year itself. There are many companies located in the campus of KIIT itself which gives great opportunities to students. Many good companies and startups also come to hire students from KIIT.
Placement Experience
The students get opportunites for internship from the end of 4th semester. And the main placement season starts from 7th semester. Almost 90% of the students get placed here. The average placement is 6-7lpa here with the highest reaching the heights of 60lpa. The average for the CSE department is 8.5lpa.
Fees and Financial Aid
Overall fees structure is quite high; around 1600000 in four years. The hostel fees for 3 bed non ac in 28k ; which is quite high as well as the hostel fees is 22k. The students who scores under 1k rank in KIITEE exam or those who are in top 10 of university in every semester gets scholarship benefits. Almost 90% students are placed in various big startups having an average salary of 6-7lpa.
Campus Life
The academic schedule is not hectic here. The campus life is great here. The students can maintain a good balance between extra curricular and academics. Gardens and parks are quite good place to chill out with friends. The campus is green and during rainy season the atmosphere gets very beautiful. There are many societies in KIIT related to various tech and non tech field. Students can participate in them.
Hostel Facilities
28K is not worth it for 3 bed non ac room. The room gets very hot during summer season. But the rooms and hostel is hygenic and clean. The mess fees is 22.5k. We get both non-veg and veg food everyday. They also provide a special menu during festive seasons. The hostel rooms are compact. Students can also stay in PG if they want.
Admission
I applied KIITEE entrance exam for admission to KIIT University. There were 5 phases of the KIITEE exam. I applied in 4th phase. My rank was 1300 and I got a CSE branch. The application fee for the exam was free of cost. All the formalities of the admission process were organised and managed very well. The application form is available on the KIIT website. The scholarship is given to students who get a rank under 1K of around 10k and those who got a rank under 500 get 20k per semester. In order to get a scholarship every semester he/she has to maintain a CGPA of 7.5 and above 75% attendance in all subjects.
