- The campus is great, its huge with labs for all fields and filled with greenery. The campus also has a easy commutable paths.
- There are various clubs and these clubs provide ample opportunities to explore various interests and hobbies.
Dislikes
- The hostel in sometimes too stricts and restricts freedom. It could feel congestive sometimes.
- The huge campus could be tiring to walk to and fro everyday.
- The quality of food is sometimes neglected in the mess and it takes respective raising of voice to improve sometimes
Course Curriculum Overview
The B.tech CSE course is very up-to-date with the current market. The content taught is very useful in securing jobs and for further research positions. The curriculum is well designed and structured in such a way that it helps in real-world applications. Every semester is around 5 months and exams happen twice in a semester in the form of mid-semester and End semester accounting for about 70 per cent of the grade, the rest of the grade is calculated using assignments and quizzes.
Internships Opportunities
The students are offered internships from the 4th semester and are allowed to freely explore their opportunities. The students are offered learning opportunites in the background of their choice if they have good projects.
Placement Experience
The campus boasts a very high placement rate in tech related industries. The students are available for placements in 6th semester. The highest package is around 52 LPA and average package is around 7LPA. Almost 80 percent students get placed. Around 600 companies visit the campus to provide placement offers and internships. I plan on working a full time job after my degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees for the 2022-2026 batch is 175000 per semester. Each semester has an exam fee of Rs 1000. The top 500 students that in KIITEE exam get a scholarship of around Rs 20000. It costs around 15 lakhs for a 4 year course. The campus boasts a very high placement with a great alumni network which helps with future employment oppurtunities. The students can also look for various internship oppurtunities from various companies that KIIT brings to campus.
Campus Life
There is a KIIT fest that happens every year in the month of February where famous musicians attend and entertain the students. The fest also contains various other activities such as treasure hunt, robo fight etc. The campus is a lush green environment with clear pathways to walk and adequate seating space. There are various sporting platforms for all sports such as football, basketball, and tennis and a cricket stadium where teams of various colleges gather to play inter-college tourneys. The library is open 24/7 and has ample books that go beyond the course material. There are almost 30 different clubs on the campus ranging from coding and reading to music and sports as well as animal welfare etc.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is spacious and the rooms are very well ventilated. The room is provided with fans, bed and mattresses and almirahs for storage. There is unlimited wifi available in 24/7 in the hostel. The food quality and hygiene of the mess is satisfactory. The menu changes every month and contains various different dishes. The registration for the hostel can be done after the admission is done on the kiit.ac.in. The hostel fee is Rs 27500 and mess fee is Rs 22500 for each semester.
Admission
The eligibility for the B.tech CSE course is 60 percent in the subjects of math,physics and chemistry in 12th grade. The application form is available in kiit.ac.in. Other details such as course fees and application dates are available in kiit.ac.in too. The exam is held in 5 phases mostly a month or two apart. The application for the entrance exam is of free of cost.
