Course Curriculum Overview
I chose computer science and engineering because of my interest in this field. The curriculum of the same course is same as in other colleges but the different is the treating strategy which is ofcourse good here. The faculties here should focus more on the practical knowledge of the students and there are a lot of research opportunities available to do under professors in different fields
Internships Opportunities
Regular collaboration with companies come offering students the opportunities to intern in companies with different industry sectors. Usually after 2nd year during the students go for summer internship where they are first filtered through CGPA then various rounds takes place of evaluation
Placement Experience
By the end of tb semester students are eligible for placements. There's a dedicated Traning & Placement School offered by the university which trains students from 2nd year in industry based interview style. My plans after the degree is to get placed
Fees and Financial Aid
The completion fees of the course is 20-25 lakhs including the hostel and mess fees depending upon the type of hostel room opted for. And you have to pay a fixed amount which is 175000 per semester. Scholarship is available if you score a rank under 1000 in KIITEE which is 10000rs per month also if you are one of the highest cgpa in the semester you get similar scholarship starting from the following semester
Campus Life
The availability of the libraries is 24*7 for students to study. The classrooms are equipped with ac and smart boards. The good thing about kiit is that it promotes students activity and the student activity center is very active here which promotes students to progress in different areas. You can start your independent societies based on your ideas by keeping 1 faculty incharge. The sports facilities here give you international exposure and equipment+training. A good opportunity to grow
Hostel Facilities
There are 2-3 bed rooms available with non AC, AC and premium rooms available. With mess and accomodation fees seprate. The menu changes 2-3 months trying to accommodate variety. The registration for these is available online in the portal
Admission
We had to give an online entrance test "KIITEE" & courses were allotted according to rank/percentile. No reservation was availed from my side. The KIITEE entrance exam takes place once a year. No particular area of improvement was seen here from my side.
