Course Curriculum Overview
The PGDM course eqips one with the nuances of the Business/ Corporate world. It helps develop an acumen for Business Administration. Currently persuing it has helped me leaps and bounds in fulfilling my passion to become a Manager, giving me ample material and practice with peers to work on it. The Internship program is equally helpful which gives hands-on for a period of 2 months. Scope of betterment - Opportunites in different companies of choice, not affected by the recessionary world.
Internships Opportunities
Collegeduniya. Stipend is roughly Rs.50000/- Courses give an opportunity and encourage active participation to go out in the field and develop an entrepreneural mindset in the people. The mission is to help budding entrepreneurs so extra care is ensured at the institute for this.
Placement Experience
The PlaceCom is a commitee which deals with all the placement related activities. They have the DB for the students which is shared with the HRs and all the details, pay is discussed by the PR and JPRs. The company's are floated from time to time and the students are encouraged to participate actively in the process.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee skeleton is provided in the very beginning upon registeration process of the Institue, upon receving the offer letter. The total cost is subjected to various factors, currently it was about INR 20 LPA, which can be self-financed or availed through loan. Once the course commences, scholarship opportunities are also floated for meritorious candidates which provide waiver upon successful confoirmation by the authorities. Govenement schemes are covered in it.
Campus Life
The campus life has been one roller coaster ride of an experience...right from the Convocation week till the very last date of the 1st year, there were multiple opportunities that oe is subjected to. Being proactive and flexible will ensure that you sustain nd thrive in this intellectual place. There are many groups and clubs that you can volunteer for. There are random groups made by the PGP office in order to develop a habit of working in diverse teams and understanding the power dynamics and work culture for future setting. Classrooms are fully integrated with Technology, with projectors, speakers and recording facilities to name a few. The Campus is still in construction phase so the Complex for Sports although built and accessible, still requires some sports facilities to commence.
Hostel Facilities
A room is provided for each student as it is a residential program. Each room comes equipped with cupboard, a bed and storage under the bed.Besides this LAN Cable, basic furniture and AC is provided for each room. Registration is done on the very first day and allotment for the hostels is first come first serve and chit based..
Admission
The MBA course required the candidate to write the CAT exam which is conducted yearly in November. The result is declared in the first month of Januaryhe couse requires a cutoff marks of above 90 percentile for General category students for getting the shortlist at the institute. Once the cut off criteria has been cleared there are 2 processes in-line for the shortlisted candidate, GD and PR. These have been made convinient post COVID wherein the Institue provides the option for both Online as well as Offline mode, preferences are filled in by the candidate but the decision is with the Institute in question. The process is pretty straight forward and well elicited in the follow up mails, received over the official mail id. There s generally a pre process talk and then the candidates are divided into grops for further process. My personal experience was quite positive.
Interview Experience
Yes there were multiple rounds of GD that I have undertaken. Topics ranged from Current Affairs to Domain Specific ones, as an example - PayTM facing crisis due to RBI regalations.What should be the course of Action. Another one - G20 Summit in Kashmir, was it a success? The topics can be abstract as well. A general walkthrough the latest developments in the world and a healthy reading habit can ensure you have the apt knowledge base for the same. Along with that having a good command on vocal sklls is a plus.
