- Hostel wardens are not humble, and the hostel allotment system needs some serious improvement.
- Attendance should be provided to the students going for inter-college competitions.
- Nothing else, the college is decent.. transportation should be provided from hostel to Campus in this heat.
Course Curriculum Overview
The exams are mostly subjective, there are 3 MCQ quizzes 3 assignments 1 midsem and 1 endsem to be given for every subject per semester. The curriculum is very relevant to the need of the Industry, one needs to study high level things by themselves though, as the course is designed keeping every kind of student in mind.
Internships Opportunities
The college brings companies for internships recently there was an opportunity open to all graduating in 2025 and 2026 by JP Morgan with a CGPA criteria of 8.5+. More opportunities come in way till 3rd year.
Placement Experience
The college placements are good, but, currently I have no idea for the batch that just left. They consider the CGPAs during placements and the college ensures that almost everyone gets placed or gets an intern in the current tough scenarios.
Fees and Financial Aid
After KIITEE exam scholarships are provided to the rankers(under 1000). They are provided 10k per month throughout the college life with a basic criteria of 7.5+ Cgpa and 75%+ attendance. I am paying 175000 semester fees, mess fee 22500, hostel fees 3 bed ac 5000 and examination fee 1000, registration fee 1000 and washing machine charges of 500 for 20 washes each semester. So, my college is more on the expensive side.
Campus Life
The extracurricular activities are of every kind, be it film society, MUNs, Oratory, Drama, every kind of society is present in KIIT. Everything is to be done by the students, whenever participating in any competition the college doesn't provide transportation or attendance. One must be ready to spend money for anything and everything. But the pros are that you get to meet like minded people in campus which is a relief from all the academic stress.
Hostel Facilities
The room consists of 3 beds or whatever kind of hostel you choose. The cleaning ladies come regularly, the hostels are pretty clean. The wardens are rude and won't even consider basic requests from time to time, especially in girls' hostels. The mess food is anywhere between okayish to good. Water purifiers are given. Every hostel consists of 2 inductions and 3 washing machines on every floor in my hostel. Opting for hostel mess is compulsory alongwith hostel rooms, the mess consists of 2 tvs, purifier and 2 toasters.
Admission
Can take admission in this college through an exam called KIITEE, then on the basis of percentile the seats are allotted, this exam was conducted in 5 phases when I took admission in 2022, the hostel allotment was not at all upto the mark, but, overall the college provides facilities of all kinds. The infrastructure is top notch, the faculty is average, just like any other college, what makes KIIT stand out is the freedom given to us to excel in our studies. The hostels are very strict and one might find the wardens rude. But, one needs to keep in mind need to compromise everywhere.
