Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is really relevant from placement and industry point of view.As the subjects taught from second year onwards are very career based.some other papers are introduced in the curriculum to help students increase their cgpa.
Internships Opportunities
This time for the second years JP morgan has come to recruit and has set the cgpa criteria to be 8.5 and above .The stipend has not been disclosed yet . But since there are 5000 plus students it wont be easy to crack it.
Placement Experience
Summer Internship companies come after second year and third year but the selection ratio is very low And the crowd is too big hence competition is very high to bag the internship. A good number of companies come for placement but selection ratio is declining over the years . Before the recession phase the college had 100 percent placement record.But this time it seems really tough
Fees and Financial Aid
The tution fee will remain same for the course period.When I took admission It was 175000 so it will remain same for 4 years .For pur junior batch it is 192000 .Scholarships are provided to those who bag under 1000 rank in kiitee.They get 10000 per semester consiferjng their attendances is 75 percent or above in all subjects in the respective semesters. Their is Scholarships for special categories of odisha natives and 100 percent fee waving for tribals of odisha and alumnis of kiit school who are exceptionally well.
Campus Life
The campus life here is something which is the main eye catching thing .A lush green campus having superb infrastructure spread a very big area.the societies are pretty good but very biased as mostly happens in all the colleges .But apart from it societies are fun.Kiit has huge crowd which makes it easy to make a lot of friends amd have a great social life.The central library is a treat to eyes.kiit has a very impactful setup for sports people.There is great scope as the infra for sports is very to the point .And khelo India is organised in the kiit campus so if you are good at sports you can be easily spotted
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities are a bit problematic. The Wardens are a bit rude and odia people are prioritised.In mess food also we get the assigned amount of food but they get how much they ask for.The hostel rooms are okayish but there's great hygeine issue in washrooms and bathrooms
Admission
The course eligibility was only that you should have pcm background. The application form is available on kiit website.they have reservation for odia bpl people and those who bring under 1000 rank in kiitee they get scholarship of 10000 per semester considering they have 75 percent or above attendance in the respective sem.The exam is easy 12th level but theres no going back to the previous question .Overall the admission process is pretty much good so no changes required.
