Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course due to my keen interest in understanding software workings. While the curriculum is satisfactory and supported by some helpful faculty members, alongside our studies, we're also encouraged to pursue our side projects or ventures. Examinations occur every semester, with midterms lasting 1.5 hours and end-of-semester exams lasting 2.5 hours.
Internships Opportunities
At KIIT, an array of prestigious companies, such as HRC, Deloitte, Dell, JP Morgan, Volvo, Atlassian, and numerous others, actively participate in the campus recruitment process. These companies offer a diverse range of roles primarily focused on software engineering. The presence of such renowned organizations provides students with ample opportunities to kick-start their careers and secure placements in esteemed companies across various sectors
Placement Experience
At KIIT, placements commence towards the end of the 3rd year, coinciding with the availability of internship opportunities from the beginning of that year. With a stellar track record boasting a 100% placement rate, students have ample prospects to explore. Top-tier companies like Atlassian frequent the campus, offering lucrative packages to deserving candidates. This robust placement scenario provides students with a solid foundation for their career trajectories post-graduation. Additionally, the early exposure to internships allows students to gain practical experience and industry insights, enhancing their employability further. As for post-degree plans, graduates typically gravitate towards securing job placements in esteemed organizations, pursuing advanced studies to specialize in their field, or venturing into entrepreneurial endeavors to materialize their innovative ideas and aspirations.

The hostel fees vary depending on the type of accommodation. For a non-AC hostel, it's 28k per semester, for AC it's 56k, and for premium AC it's 70k. The education fee itself is 17500 per semester. The total cost of a BTech degree ranges from 20 to 25 lakhs, depending on the hostel choice. Additionally, there's a scholarship available for those ranking under 1000 in the KIITEE exam.
Campus Life
My overall experience with campus life at KIIT has been vibrant and engaging, with a strong focus on both academic and extracurricular activities. The main annual festival, held in February every year, is a highlight, drawing students from across disciplines to participate in various cultural and technical events. Regarding academic resources, the library offers a wide range of books and journals, catering to diverse interests and research needs. The accessibility and availability of these resources are commendable, supporting students' academic endeavors effectively. Classrooms are well-equipped with modern facilities and technological provisions, enhancing the learning experience. Interactive whiteboards, audio-visual aids, and high-speed internet contribute to an enriched learning environment. Sports facilities are excellent, providing students with ample opportunities to engage in various athletic activities. From indoor sports like badminton and table tennis to outdoor sports .
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility at KIIT provides essential amenities for students' comfort and convenience. In the room, students typically have a bed, study table, chair, wardrobe, and access to a shared bathroom. Some hostels may also offer additional features like air conditioning and Wi-Fi connectivity. Regarding meal quality and menu, the hostel mess usually offers a variety of dishes catering to different tastes and dietary preferences. The quality of food is generally decent, with nutritious options available. The menu typically includes a mix of regional and continental cuisines, ensuring students have a balanced diet. The registration process for hostel accommodation usually involves submitting an application form along with necessary documents and payment of the hostel fees. Affordability varies depending on the type of accommodation chosen, with non-AC rooms being more budget-friendly compared to AC or premium rooms.
Admission
The eligibility requirement is for individuals who have achieved a minimum aggregate of 60% in their 12th board exams. The application form can be accessed on kiit.ac.in, and there is no fee for the exam. Previously, the exam was conducted online in five phases from February to August, with home proctoring. However, according to my understanding, it is now an offline exam, with KIIT also serving as one of the exam centers.
