Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is good as per the demand of the market ,there are faculties who have good experience but have an orthodox teaching method. Attendance is also important. There are various tests and assesment taken once the placement training begins also the placement cell is also good.There are two exams in a semester , one is mid sem and the other is end-sem . The mid sem exam is taken approx two months after the sem begins and the end sem is taken four months after the sem begins.
Internships Opportunities
The internship opportunities are good , generally some comapnies start to give internships from 5th semester which further offered by ppo and some companies give it in 7th semester. But we can apply for various internships off campus as the selection rate is good.
Placement Experience
The placement of the college is decent with an average of 8 lpa for computer science and 6.5 lpa for engineering all together. The students are eligible for placement and internships from the 6th semester . Various big companies visit our campus including microsoft , accenture , tcs and various mass recruiters too.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is bit high, it costs around 20 lakhs to complete the 4 year btech course. There is no increase in the fee for the people who have already registered but for the coming batches the tuition fee has been increases by 25 k per semester .There is a scholarship programe which is given to the students who ranked under 1000 in entrance exam , the scholarship amount is 10k per month
Campus Life
One of the best thing about this university is the social and college life.We have a huge and a very beautiful campus , it is one the biggest engineering colleges of the country which has a very modern infra and a lush green campus. There are students from all around the country and across the globe. There are various social and technical clubs which are very active in their respective fields and multiple events take place time to time across the campus.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility is good but not as per the amount which they take on the name of hostel fees i.e 50000 + 22500 for accomodation and room.There are various types of hostel present depending on your choice. The meal is also not that great but it is just ok to eat. You get both ac and non ac hostels here.
Admission
The admission was done through KIITEE (the official entrance exam of KIIT) and is also done based on the mains score. The admission form is free for everyone. The entrance exam was taken in four phases which started nearly in feburary. The cutoff for general category was approx 70 percentile. And the eligibility criteria was aggregate of 65% in both 10th and 12th. The admission process was convinient.
