Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum of KIIT for BTech cse is very friendly to students which is the best thing I like about. Curriculum have course of outcomes which you can relate in real life. Teaching methods needs to get improved little bit overall it's good.

‘Day Zero’ dream campus drives alone resulted in the placement of about Top 1500 students by MNCs with an average CTC of 8.10 lacs pa. 42 Companies offered CTC of Rs. 10.00 lakh or more with Yugabyte offering highest CTC of Rs.52.00 lakhs pa. ‘Day-One’ campus recruitment drive this season generated about 2000 jobs offers from four companies: Accenture, Cognizant, Capgemini, & Wipro. This is an excellent ‘Day One’ & ‘Day Zero’ conversions taking into account the current job market scenario, said industry experts. Aside, many companies visited KIIT campus multiple times this year like Accenture, Ericsson, Escorts, Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro, Capgemini etc .

Placement Experience

After 6th semester students are eligible for campus placement in KIIT University . Microsoft TCS Tata Amazon Flipkart Wipro HTC cognizant etc and many more . Highest package offered in 2023 batch was of 64 lakhs and average package is of 6-8 lakhs. Almost 80-90 percent student gets placed every year. I want to pursue higher studies after graduation.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fees increase every year to 5 thousand...you must have 75% attendance. Complete cost of completion of course could cost upto 20 lakhs. Scholarship available for top 100 students in KIITEE Entrance examination result. College is great on behalf of campus employment and campus placement.

Campus Life

Kiitfest Quiz competition Dance competition Technical fest KIIT mun And many more....in each month atleast one program occurs . KIIT has central library open for 24/7 for every students. In terms of sports KIIT has high ranking...many alumni represent in Olympics .

Hostel Facilities

In hostel room bed ,mattress,bucket, mug, pillow and pillow covers are provided for hostel boaders. Food quality is also good ...as compared to other engineering colleges in India. While taking admission you can register for hostel boarding. In terms of affordability i will rate 8/10 . I have not rented for pg or flat so I'm not the right person to answer this question

Admission

For BTech CSE course in Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology...you must have 10+2 passing eligibility criteria alongwith aggregate of 60% in Physics Chemistry Maths. Application form is available in KIIT official website that is kiit.ac.in and there is no application fees required and application dates for KIITEE Entrance examination usually starts from month of april and ends max to max last week of May. Some reservations are there for Odisha local students that can be accessed through official website of KIIT. KIIT conducts two exams in each semester that is mid semester and end semester examination....and as per my experience difficulty level rises from moderate to heavy respectively espectively. Timings of exams are basically in morning or evening in second half. After the allocation of result you have to stand in queue for boarding for hour's...and rest everything is good i am happy with the college.

Faculties are very helpful they provide notes everyday what they teach
College students are friendly and affordable

They discriminate between girls and boys always

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs

Likes

The infrastructure of each campus in the college is very pretty and it's a green campus
The classrooms are well equipped with WiFi, Smart-boards for digital education.
Also travelling from one campus to another has been made easier as buses and golf carts are provided to students

Dislikes

The crowd of students here is too much which feels too much chaotic and disturbing .
The hostel management here as they don't give importance to the major issues here.
The hostel mess food. The quality is degrading day by day

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is good. This year 75% of the students are already placed with an average package of 8LPA . The highest package till now for this year is 22LPA. Many companies have visited for the placements and 100+ offers have been made. Companies like BNY, Infosys, Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Bain& Company, High Radius, TCS, EY, PWC and many more of them have visited the campus.

The college campus greenery and campus cleaning management are doing really very well that is the only good part but that doesn't matter much for your career.
⭐⭐There is nothing good to mention about this college after going through all the procedures from taking admission to degree,I regret and many of my friends also regretting taking admission into this college.⭐⭐

Dislikes

They have a good well maintained cricket ground but students are never allowed there only for commercial purposes and to attract new joinee.
Staff and management are very helpful and polite only till admission done.🥲.
Hostel food quality is extremely unhigenic, no one takes responsibility after many complaints also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was very classical , too much theory oriented for placement point of view they will provide last 1 month or 2 months training for aptitude part rest for technical you have to study on your own.

Beautiful campus with lot's of space and with good computer labs
They conduct exam in very smoothly manner

Dislikes

Need to improve administrative building while submitting fees many students face problem
Lab session of some subjects are too long which is around 3 hrs which need to reduce for atleast 2 hrs

Placement opportunities in my college are good, with students generally becoming eligible for campus placements from the pre-final or final year, depending on the course and company criteria. The college has an active placement celll that supports students by Organizing training sessions, resume building and also mock interviews.

Likes

I like enhance my knowledge in computer and technology. I like to learn new ideas in google sheet and AI.
I like hiking and campaign in forest and mountain. And to go in long drive on bike.
Exploring new things which I don't know finding reason on natural phenomenon.

Dislikes

I dislike to follow people blindly. And doing as same
I dislike to worship god visit temple and any regional place.
I dislike to stay at home on vacation or holiday

After completion of 6 th semester candidates are eligible for campus selection. The highest you get around 20Lac per annum and minimum 5 Lac per annum. Around 30 % student get placed each year. Posco, sas motors, jindal, are coming company

My college is best

Likes

Things I like is to good faculty, garden.
VSSUT provides the best amenities and bathrooms.
Excluding hostel & other facilities are like good.

Dislikes

The water quality is not good at all from mess side.
The drainage system is not maintained well.
The surroundings are not clean and the guarda are strict.

Placement Experience:

Some say that the celllege has better placements, but that the salary is not very lucrative. Infosys, Tata Steel, IBM, Wipro, Cisco Systems, Larsen and Cognizant, Maruti Suzuki, Adani Group. My plans are to go to better iim for mba

Likes

The professor who taught in our class they are taught is best In teaching.
They provide you many opportunities to work upon on you.
The infrastructure of college is good and huge.

Dislikes

The campus is very vast, and you have to walk for every minute of work.
The are very serious about your study and what you are doing
The gate get closed if you get came late even it's 5-10 minute late.

Placement Experience:

It's good as many company come but the placement directly depend on your study and hard work of your 4 year and a pre placement also conduct in 3rd year where you can also get placed. For placement the student should secure 8-10 cgpa for sit in interview exam.

KIIT Overview And The Reality

1.Like i did not apply so many colleges but i got selected in my state government college in it branch but i did not go there becuase there not so many companies comes for placement and internship and there not a much opportunity 2. REVIEW OF KIIT FROM A SECOND YEAR STUDENT

Apart from KIIT I also applied for PES university, VIT. I got confirmed admission in CSE branch of these colleges but these colleges are far away from my home. So distance is one of the main factors for not choosing other colleges instead of KIIT. For taking admission in KIIT one has to appear in the KIITEE examination which is conducted in CBT mode. After the exam result will be declared within a month. Then one has to sit for counselling for choosing the branch of their choice. The cutoff score is different for all the three phases. For example in 2023, a student securing 15 percentile in KIITEE got CSE core branch but in the second phase the cutoff for CSE core raised to 75 percentile....Read More
