Likes
- The campus is very big with lots of greenery and along with it there is gardens.
- Well educated professors graduated from iit and nit .
- Hostel have reading room which are open 24*7.
Dislikes
- Mess food is little bit to the sweeter side .
- End time for hostel is 6:30 pm for 1st year which is very early which I personally feel should be atleast 7 pm.
- The crowd here is not particularly motivated and driven. Also the number of student admitted every year in braches like CSE is a little high
Course Curriculum Overview
As per my experience in this college , this college provides with best and latest curriculum . The curriculum has different practical labs which prepares you for the real world application , example - The curriculum has basic electronics lab and basic electrical engineering lab in first year itself along with different computer labs like iot labs.The curriculum can be made better if it included more in depth knowledge.There is 2 end sems exams and 2 mid sems exam per year .
Placement Experience
the students become eligible for the campus placements from the 6th semester onwards. Companies like accenture, high radius, capegemini, wipro deloite come for campus placements. The average package as told for the year 2022-23 was 8 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tuition fees increase slightly for new batch every year thats depends upon the concerned authority. There is scholarship for those student who have a rank under 1000 in kiitee .The total cost of completing btech in kiit will be approximately 20 Lakh including hostel and mess.
Campus Life
There is annual fest named as kiit fest in the month of February each year. There is a cental library in the campus available 24*7. The campus is full greenary and is student friendly . There are different blocks for different engineering branches. The classroom are equipped with smart board along with normal board and fully functionable ac's. There is many sports complexes in each campuses with good equipments and well trained sports teacher. There is a student activity centre known as ksac(kalinga student activity centre) which have many scoieties both technical and non technical.
Hostel Facilities
the hostel facility is lax at times but is strict too as it should be. There is a defined end time we have to enter the hostel before. The hsotel food is average but we do get spacial menus during festivals.
Admission
The eligibility for the admission in Btech from kalinga institute of industrial technology university requires minimum 60 percentage in pcm/pcb in class 12th along with a regular mode of study.The application form is absolutely free and is available on kiit official website i.e www.kiit.ac.in.
