Internships Opportunities

3

Internships at AKGEC are usually structured to align with the academic calendar, allowing students to gain practical experience during semester breaks or as part of their curriculum requirements. The duration, stipend (if any), and eligibility criteria for internships may vary depending on the specific internship program and the collaborating organization. Overall, internships play a crucial role in complementing theoretical learning with practical exposure, enhancing students' employability, and preparing them for future careers.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure at AKGEC can vary depending on the program and whether the student is admitted through a government quota or management quota. Generally, the fee includes tuition fees, examination fees, and other miscellaneous charges. It's advisable to check the official website or contact the college administration for the most accurate and up-to-date information on the fee structure. As for scholarships and financial assistance, AKGEC typically offers various scholarships based on merit, economic background, and other criteria. These scholarships may be provided by the government, private organizations, or the college itself. Eligible students are encouraged to apply for scholarships during the admission process or as per the announced application deadlines.

Campus Life

5

Campus life at AKGEC is often vibrant and engaging, with a variety of social activities and events organized throughout the year. Students have opportunities to participate in clubs and societies catering to diverse interests, including cultural, sports, technical, and social causes. Additionally, there are usually provisions for recreational activities and access to academic support services within the hostel premises. For students opting for rented accommodations off-campus, they can find various options in the vicinity of the college. These accommodations may range from independent apartments to shared flats or PG accommodations. The rent and amenities can vary depending on the location and specific preferences of the students. It's advisable for students to explore different accommodation options, consider factors like proximity to the college, safety, affordability, and amenities before finalizing their choice. Additionally, seeking advice from seniors or utilizing online platforms can be helpful in finding suitable rented accommodations near AKGEC.

Admission

The admission process for AKGEC typically involves applying through entrance exams like JEE Main for undergraduate programs and GATE for postgraduate programs. The application process usually includes filling out an online form, submitting required documents, and paying the application fee. Cut-offs for these exams can vary each year based on factors like the number of applicants and the difficulty of the exams. One aspect that some applicants may find challenging is the high competition and the pressure to secure a good rank in the entrance exams to meet the cut-off criteria. Additionally, some applicants may find the documentation and verification process cumbersome. However, these are common challenges in the admission process for many reputable institutions.

Placement Experience:

Placements are both on and off-campus based. Placements are usually common for both IT and Non-IT students, Technical or Non-Technical. Students become eligible, in their final years to pursue internships or acquire placements. Usually students from Computer Science and Engineering avail more placement opportunities. The Medical Department have more options of Employability. Companies like HCL, Byju's, Extramarks, IBM and other local companies like Stambh Power Systems, Pieinfocomm and others have arrived. But the placement ratio needs to be increased. Off-Campus Placements are more successful. Highest Package can be 8lpa CTC to average package be 2.5lpa CTC, with profiles of assistance and associates. Atleast 30% students get placed on average. My plans are based on Learning in different ways.
