Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum focuses on the development of the students in their particular fields and is very relevant and boosts the pace of students trying to navigate and learn about that field. The course allows students to learn soft skills and other technical skills along with subjects taught by the college. Moreover extra courses are offered in college to provide the students with the technical to make them industy-ready and prepare the students for real-world applications or if they want to pursue academics further.
Internships Opportunities
Various summer internships are offered to the college students through different programs from esteemed companies and this opportunity is not limited to final year students but it is also offered to students who are not in their final year of college. Internships and trainings under programs offered by Accenture, Amazon, IBM, Infosys etc. are provided to the students. These internships or trainings provide projects and tasks to students under deadlines which vary depending on the fields such as web-technology, management, data analysis,etc.
Placement Experience
Placements are good and the average package offered is around 5lpa. The students become eligible to sit for the campus placements from the 7th semester. The companies that visited our college were : Amazon, Accenture, DxC, Infosys, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Coignizant, Newgen and many more. About 75 percent of students get placed in 7th semester and start their training in the beginning of 8th semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees is 116956 for the first year and the total fees for the four years is 5.68 lacs. The college also provides UP scholarhip for financial assistance which is around 118000 for SC/ST students and around 56000 for OBC and General category students. Semester toppers are also awarded with cash rewards.
Campus Life
A fresher party is held for the first-year students by other students and also farewell parties are held by the college just before the graduation of final-year students. Holi celebration is held around march in which professors and students play Holi, and also kite flying is held around the month of October on college grounds. Smart boards and green boards are provided in every classroom. Technical clubs for teaching coding as well as other clubs for extracurricular activities are maintained such as debate-club, music-club,etc. and are vital to build good relationship with other students as well as senior students.
Admission
The eligibility for admission in AKGEC for B.Tech programs is that the candidate must possess a 10+2 qualification with PCM as their choice. Also, a UPTAC seat allotment letter for AKGEC B.Tech admission followed by JEE Mains scorecard is required to be presented by the candidate. The application form along with the fee structure and the dates for application is available on the official college website. The frequency and difficulty of exams is well-balanced and is set keeping the students' syllabus, workload and knowledge of the subjects in mind.
