Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The computer science engineering curriculum is highly relevant and comprehensive. It focuses on core subjects like algorithms, data structures, and software engineering, crucial for real-world applications. However, there's room for improvement in providing more specialized courses and enhancing soft skills development. The curriculum adequately prepares students for both industry and further academic pursuits. Exams are held regularly, assessing understanding in core concepts, although they can be challenging, particularly in subjects like algorithms and advanced mathematics. Emphasizing interdisciplinary courses, soft skills development, and innovative teaching methods could enhance the overall learning experience.

Placement Experience

4

Campus placements typically start from the sixth semester. Companies like Infosys, TCS, and Accenture visited, offering various roles in software development, consulting, and IT services. The highest package offered was around INR 12 LPA, with an average package of INR 6 LPA. Approximately 80% of students secured placements. If campus placements aren't offered, students focus on building their skills through internships, projects, and networking to enhance employability. After completing the degree, my plan is to pursue further studies or seek employment in a reputable company to gain practical experience and contribute to the field of computer science engineering.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure entails INR 102,000 for the first year and INR 87,000 for subsequent years, but policies on fee increases vary. Total education costs include tuition, service fees, and other charges like examinations and library fees. Scholarships and financial aid, including merit-based and need-based options, vary in amounts and eligibility criteria. Campus employment opportunities, such as teaching or research assistant roles, often provide stipends or wages. Responsibilities range from supporting faculty to assisting in research projects or administrative tasks. Exploring these options is crucial for managing education expenses and gaining valuable experience.

Campus Life

4

Campus life was vibrant with events like "TechFest" in January and "Culturals" in March, blending technical showcases and cultural performances. The library offered extensive resources, facilitating academic pursuits. Classrooms were equipped with modern facilities, enhancing learning experiences. Sports facilities included basketball courts, football fields, and a gymnasium, catering to diverse interests. Numerous student-run clubs and social groups provided opportunities for involvement and community building, enriching the overall student experience.

Admission

Eligibility: Being a computer science engineering student, meeting criteria involves strong background in math, physics, and computer science from high school. Entrance exams like JEE Main are often required. Application: Finding forms online or on official websites, paying fees online, and meeting deadlines are essential steps in the application process. Reservation: Categories like SC, ST, OBC, and EWS often have reservation benefits, including relaxed criteria and reserved seats. Exams: Exams like JEE Main can be frequent and challenging, particularly in math and physics. Improvements: Simplifying the application process, providing clearer information on eligibility and reservation, and offering more support for exam preparation are crucial areas for improvement.
