Course Curriculum Overview

4

As I was interested in BE after 12th because it opens up many career opportunities for you in the future. Talking about the curriculum it doesn't as such prepare you for real-world applications because the curriculum in our education system is a little bit old. The curriculum can be thoroughly changed in aspects of the present time as we all know that AI is taking over a lot of things. Exams are conducted on a monthly basis which is known as Mid-sems and around 4-5 months Semester End examination is conducted with a question pattern of moderate level.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

There are a lots of internships provided every year if you are actually skilled. Accenture, Adobe, TCS do provide internships with good stipends. Most of the students get PPO's front the internships they get.

Placement Experience

4

From the 6th semester onwards the students are usually eligible for campus placements. Companies visited-Many companies visit the college such as Microsoft, Accenture, TCS, Paytm, Adobe and the no. of offers is around 500-600. Package-The highest package offered in the year 2023 was around 52 LPA which was from Microsoft but the data is not clear whether it was off-campus or on-campus. The average package ranges from 8LPA-10LPA for CSE branch students whether in core branches it is around 4-5LPA Each year almost 85% of the students seating for placements get placed and get a decent package while this is not the case for the year 2023-2024 as it is a recession year. Future plans-I will prepare for GATE examinations and get a masters degree from any of the top IIT's.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition Fees-The tution fees from COMEDK is around 2.6 lakhs a year and there is a 10% hike every year for the new students who take admission every year. Overall Cost-The complete cost of education for 4 years is around 18-19 lakh rupees including all the hostel and other services because the hostels are little bit in costlier side. Scholarships-There are not many scholarship options for the people from the North side. Internships and Placements-The On-campus placement opportunities from the college are decent. Good companies visit the college and provide good internship offers to skilled ones and they do provide Ppo's. One can easily get a good package if he is actually dkilled out there.

Campus Life

4

Fests-There are a number of fests such as Furrore. The fests are usually conducted in the month of September and the summer fest in usually in the month of May-June Library-The library has usually a wide range and variety of books and one can easily create a library card and get to look over the books. Facilities-The classrooms are well ventilated and good number of benches with good quality of seating. Sports-In terms of sports it is a little behind in Cricket but in sports like Basketball and Volleyball it excels. Clubs and Societies-There are many clubs and societies in the college for different purpose such as Coding clubs, Drama clubs, Dance clubs, Singing clubs which create a very good impact on the students life as it removes fear from them and make them more confident.

Admission

Eligibility- Completed Class 12th or a Dropper for not more than 1 year Application details- Each year COMEDK form is released in the month of January which costs around 1800 and the exam is conducted in the month of April. Examination details-The exam is conducted in two shifts morning and evening shifts with 180 Questions of 1 mark each. The level of the Questions is between easy to moderate. To get a good rank for admission one can go for clearing the concepts of Class 11th and 12th and learning all the formulas.

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
