Review about CHENNAI INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY

I chose my course because I got to know that Artificial intelligence was developing and has huge opportunity present in it. Also we were taught skills that are required by the industry from our first year itself. We were given training for placement or higher studies from the moment we enter the college. We will write 3 internal assessment which is for our academics. It is of moderate difficulty. We also attend coding test in platforms like skillrack, leetcode every week which is done to develop our skills.

Students are encouraged to take internship from their first year onwards. Paid internship is also offered to students by our college during their first or second year. Microsoft has offered internship to two students who will be offered job after their internship. Companies like CTS offer internship to students to. Work on industrial projects.

Placement are offered to every student in my college during their 3rd year. But the training for placement are given from first or second year. Many companies like CTS, Worldline are coming to our college for campus interview. The highest package offered if 51lpa for two students from Microsoft. The average package is about 8 lakhs. Our college will place all the students who are interested in placement before they complete their studies.

My tuition fees is about 60000. I am required to pay this throughout my degree. Also I pay about 1lakh as my hostel fees. The training fees is about 30000 in my college. Scholarship are given to students if they score high percentile in JEE exam. We were given training placement from first year. We were also given internship opportunity every leave after semester.

Our college conduct technical symposium every year for total of 10days where each department conduct their symposium on one day. In the symposium technical events and some non technical events as well as workshops are conducted. We also have a cultural festival called takshashila every year for about 3days. These events are organised fully by students. We have a library where variety of books are available. There is also a digital library present in my college. We have more than 30 centres of excellence for each domainwhere wee can learn about new technology available. Each class room is attached with a projector and we have lab periods every week to gain practical knowledge. We also have sports period every week and a sports day conducted every year. We are also taught foreign language in our college.

Hostel facility in my college is good. 6 students are allocated to every room. We are given a seperate room to study . Also our rooms are cleaned every day. The food provided here is mostly good with different food everyday. We also celebrate hostel day every year where students organise it for hostel students. We can register for hostel any time.

I applied to my college through TNEA. I got a cutoff of 190 marks in my 12th board exam. I later applied to Chennai institute of technology (CIT) through TNEA counseling and was able to pursue Bachelor's in Artificial intelligence and data science. Then I went to CIT to visit the campus and get the admission form and got to know about the fees structure. I didn't face any problem during my admission process.
