Course Curriculum Overview
Currently the college follows aktu curriculum, which is majorly theoretical and focuses less on practical application of knowledge. However the college provides lab facilities for every core subject and lab activities are conducted but still a major focus remains on theory and books. Though the syllabus lacks research oriented approach but the syllabus is really helpful in preparing a basic foundation for the core subjects and problem solving approach.
Internships Opportunities
The college allows to apply for external paid and unpaid internships only after second year. And only those students are allowed to continue scholarships whose academics are up to mark. Many students from the college apply and claim internships.
Placement Experience
The college allows placement opportunities to students who pass the requirements to get eligible for placement. Each year companies are invited and third year end forth year students apply for placement. Paid internships are allowed from second year.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships are available for financially weak students and the college assigns a staff for the scholarship process. Many students in the college apply and recieve scholarships. Students are allowed to apply for external financial assistance after informing the college administration.
Campus Life
Majority of the staff are from army background and therefore the college campus has a strict and disciplined environment. Every year induction programme is organised for first year students to instruct them regarding regulations and disciplinary environment. Senior students are assigned the task to monitor first year students for maintaining discipline and decency.
Admission
The college provides admission on the basis of aktu counseling and direct admission as well. I took admission through counseling. The admission process was quick but a little difficult since all the departments were accepting admission at same time. Therefore there were a lot of students at the campus. Every department was allotted some staff to manage admissions, but still they were outnumbered by the parents and students. And major part of the admission process was offline. Only fee payment had net banking facilities. Therefore a lot of time was consumed in verifying the fee payment and documentation.
