Likes
- Academics syllabus is very well planned. From the very first day, the student studies his/her branch subjects which help in understanding the branch and build deep interest in the subjects.
- Sports facilities are very well organised with regular tournaments and competitions. There are quite a lot grounds for particular sports like football, cricket, kabaddi, volleyball, basketball, lawn tennis, table tennis etc.
- The infrastructure of NITW is one of the best among the Nits. Also the buildings and the garden area in front of library is the place where you can relax and meet other fellowmates.
Dislikes
- The gym facilities is pathetic. The equipments are old and rusted. Not all the machines are in proper working conditions.
- The hostel facility is not at good. Furnitures are broken. The security level in the hostel is not up to mark.
- The food quality in not at all satisfying. Very less hygiene level in the mess food. There is always scarcity of food in the mess.
Course Curriculum Overview
As mentioned, the course for each branch is very well planned. From the very first semester, you have to study the subject of the branch you opted. This methodology helps in building the subject interest and branch interest and later help in better placements. You don't have to study the irrelevant topics and subjects rather you can improve your fundamentals in your own branch
Placement Experience
The campus placement is one of the factor why students opt NITW. Here the average package for the B.Tech in CSE is 30.5 lpa. Placement cell is very much planned and work in that manner so that the placement Percentage remains high. Around 99% placement for CSE students in their in NITW.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is very complex. There is tuition fee something around 62500/- per semester along with some extra fees like examination fee and other facilities. The hostel fee is around 29000/- which includes seat rent, water and electricity. Other than this there are scholarships for the students. Fee remission also there for the students of reserved categories.
Campus Life
College life is one of the best part of one's life. Here in NITW, you can have the best part of your life and have many much things to do. There are around 40 clubs of students from all the branch to improve your skills in particular fields. Like the Music club, DND club, quiz club etc. help to keep you interest in your passion. These clubs conduct events in around 10 days so that the fun of college life remains in the students.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are not good. The tiles in the rooms are broken. The cleanliness is a big issue here in NITW. The quality of the food in mess is not at eatable. There are huge lines for the food in the mess. The hygiene level is not at all maintained
Admission
The admission is directly based on your jee mains exam and score. The cut off is something around 4k rank in the open category. You have to perform extremely well in your jee mains exam to qualify for the admission in Nitw.
Faculty
The faculty staff in Nitw are well qualified and experienced. Many of them have graduated and post-graduated from the big institutes of the nation, like the Nits and iits. A few of them have done their PhD from the top class foreign universities. Their experiences, they share help us to know the real life. Their teaching methods are very well prepared. They deliver the lecture in their own ways and at the end it depends on the students to understand it or not.
