Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The curriculum holds a good amount of subjects each semester, that provide ample amount of knowledge in each field of job opportunity, like in b.arch, each subject that you study is a profession. Areas of improvement would be removal of unnecessary repetition in subjects each semester. Exams are held through out the semester with two internals and one semester end exam with questions that have five levels of difficulty.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee Structure depends upon the caste, seat acquired via cet and comed-k. Fee Structure reflected around 75k to 2 lakhs. Scholarships are provided by the government only. College doesn't provide any type of scholarship.

Campus Life

4

The Ramaiah annual festival is called UDBHAV, which was not held for the past four years of my college life because of 'covid' for two years and later because the principal didn't fund the fest due to some reasons which are unclear. The architecture department had a fest called inspirit which was successfully executed for a time. College has many different clubs that are a bit, performing and competing in different colleges etc.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Hostel accomodation is moderate considering the food and cleaning of rooms, the rent is terrible high for the treatment. Meals are not a all healthy and look the same every day. Mostly college life is seen around the college, surrounded by residential area.

Admission

Admission process was tedious with lot of papers already submitting to the college with entering the same information via desktops, it was time consuming and it all came down to 5 hours of a process, I took NATA examination which was made into a rank list by the K-cet, acquired a rank of 128 to get into ramaiah.

Faculty

4

Faculty to student ratio is about 1:10. Faculty is very approachable and there is a practice of proctor ship and a set of students are alloted to a teacher and the students can approach them when needed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is amazing but again the aheets given and the expected submissions for a 1st yesr is too much and the pressure is high .the teaching methods r basically every 10 students r allotted to s mentor who then guides them thru the design process

Admission:

The admission procedure is not tedious. After plus 2 and appearing for JEE 2 or NATA exams, candidates have to apply with that scores. After screening they will be called for interview. For validation purposes, all the original certificates will be scrutinized.

Remarks:

This is a very good College in terms of education and co-curricular activities. The events hosted in the College and the workshops are almost always paid for so it is hard if you don't have pocket money with you always.

Admission:

I applied to the college based on my score in the National Aptitude Test for Architecture (NATA). I also appeared in the JEE Main paper 2. However, the NATA score been good then JEE Main paper 2 so I said for the NATA counselling. I was allotted a seat in the institute in spot counselling. After the grant of the admission I was called to the campus to complete the procedural formalities for admission. I opted for the institute because it is one of the top institute for architecture studies in Mysore.

Remarks:

The Architectural education scene is still a work in progress, and the quality changes dramatically in a short period of time and hence the relevancy of my remarks here are questionable., Management has changed recently, the University of Mysore has taken over, and it brings bigger resources, better integration with other university facilities and it's government-like administration with it's pros and cons. It would be wise to personally visit the facilty.
