Ambience is so good. The greenery and plantation is amazing there.
The decorum of the college very well designed and maintained

In time of hostel should be little bit more
There should not always couples be there. It feels awkward.
As a college campus, it should be good, not like everywhere couples should kiss and all

Course Curriculum Overview

I opted for b.tech in cse. This course is relevant for students who further wants to work at IT sectors. This course prepares well for real world applications by the college. Teachers should teach more properly and not just give notes. The frequency and timing of exams are fine here. But according to the time given, difficulty level of question paper is high. They should work on that.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 352000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internship offers come to students in 3rd year. Big MNCs offer internships such as microsoft, wipro, ibm etc. They give min. stipend of 20K. They give very well projects which help students to maintain there cv and resume.

Placement Experience

6th sem students get eligible for campus placements. Bigger mncs come to offer jobs. TCS, WIPRO, TECH MAHINDRA, TATA, MICROSOFT, INFOSYS etc. Highest package 60 LPA and average package is 10LPA. 60% students get placed. I have planned to try on campus and off campus both.

Fees and Financial Aid

My tuition fees is 176000 per semester. I recently joined hostel of the college and it's fees is 72500. Hostel food needs to change and they should cook food everyday like the way they cook on occassions. They take 1000 rs for end sem exam registration. And 200 rs for baclog paper registration. Jobs are given by the college which are nice and salary is decent.

Campus Life

The fests are so good always in this college. Love the fests. The societies and clubs here are so good. Social interaction can be done very well here. Anyone can join societies and clubs and get a chance to take part in every activity held in every society.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are good. Rooms are decent. There are two types of hostel, normal and premium. In premium hostels, there is personal bathrooms in every room and lift in the hostel building and some more facilities. But in normal hostels there is no personal bathroom for anyone. The food quality is not that good. They cook very nice food on occassions but not on normal days. That should be changed. Registration process is easy. You just need to mail the hostel director.

Hostel Fee: INR 145000 per year

Admission

I tookthe kiitee entrance exam and securred 66 percentile. Above 60%ile needed to be eligible to get admitted. The entrance exam is similar to jee exam. Anyone can find the details of everything on www.kiit.ac.in

Faculty

Overally faculty members are good but there are some teachers who doesn't teach properly and don't give marks in internals. They sometimes do injustice while checking answer sheets as well. Some teachers check answer sheets of students by goimg through answer scripts released by the college and give marks according to that, if exact words are there then only they will give the mark or else no.

I don't like 75% attendance and the strictness of the faculty members

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs

Likes

The infrastructure of each campus in the college is very pretty and it's a green campus
The classrooms are well equipped with WiFi, Smart-boards for digital education.
Also travelling from one campus to another has been made easier as buses and golf carts are provided to students

Dislikes

The crowd of students here is too much which feels too much chaotic and disturbing .
The hostel management here as they don't give importance to the major issues here.
The hostel mess food. The quality is degrading day by day

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is good. This year 75% of the students are already placed with an average package of 8LPA . The highest package till now for this year is 22LPA. Many companies have visited for the placements and 100+ offers have been made. Companies like BNY, Infosys, Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Bain& Company, High Radius, TCS, EY, PWC and many more of them have visited the campus.

The college campus greenery and campus cleaning management are doing really very well that is the only good part but that doesn't matter much for your career.
⭐⭐There is nothing good to mention about this college after going through all the procedures from taking admission to degree,I regret and many of my friends also regretting taking admission into this college.⭐⭐

Dislikes

They have a good well maintained cricket ground but students are never allowed there only for commercial purposes and to attract new joinee.
Staff and management are very helpful and polite only till admission done.🥲.
Hostel food quality is extremely unhigenic, no one takes responsibility after many complaints also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was very classical , too much theory oriented for placement point of view they will provide last 1 month or 2 months training for aptitude part rest for technical you have to study on your own.

Likes

Beautiful campus with lot's of space and with good computer labs
They conduct exam in very smoothly manner

Dislikes

Need to improve administrative building while submitting fees many students face problem
Lab session of some subjects are too long which is around 3 hrs which need to reduce for atleast 2 hrs

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities in my college are good, with students generally becoming eligible for campus placements from the pre-final or final year, depending on the course and company criteria. The college has an active placement celll that supports students by Organizing training sessions, resume building and also mock interviews.

Likes

Have collabs with IBM, Samsung, Capgemini for RnD and NUS singapore , University of North Texas
Our college has hosted International Conferences like IEEE InGAARS 2025and Indocrypt 2025, where scientists had came from NASA, ISRO, all IITs, Foreign Universities, etc
Exposure is Good. The teachers here put efforts to teach and research. Unlike other colleges where teachers comes and roll out PPTs, here every teacher teaches on Board explaining everything properly

Dislikes

Few teachers speak in Odia accent, so it takes couple weeks to adjust
Campus is kind of small (36acres), but its good area for a IIIT, considering IIIT delhi is just 25 acres
3 occupancy hostels for 1st years (same goes for any other NIT/IIIT), but they have a option of single rooms from 2nd year

Placement Experience:

from 6th sem, students are eligible almost 100 companies visited including IBM, VISA, Infosys, DE Shaw etc. Highest is 63 LPA and avg is 12-13LPA 90% placements I may consider doing MBA if I dont get very big package

Placement Experience:

From 7th or 8th sem students are eligible for campus placements. The companies visited are wipro,tcs and many others like this. Percentage require for getting placement is average of 8.75 My plans after getting the degree is secret.

From sixth semester you are eligible for campus placement. Companies visited are Tata power, Adani, OPTCL and others.The highest package for electrical engineering is 10 lacs. 60percent marks is required for getting placement.

My college is best

Likes

Things I like is to good faculty, garden.
VSSUT provides the best amenities and bathrooms.
Excluding hostel & other facilities are like good.

Dislikes

The water quality is not good at all from mess side.
The drainage system is not maintained well.
The surroundings are not clean and the guarda are strict.

Placement Experience:

Some say that the celllege has better placements, but that the salary is not very lucrative. Infosys, Tata Steel, IBM, Wipro, Cisco Systems, Larsen and Cognizant, Maruti Suzuki, Adani Group. My plans are to go to better iim for mba

Likes

The professor who taught in our class they are taught is best In teaching.
They provide you many opportunities to work upon on you.
The infrastructure of college is good and huge.

Dislikes

The campus is very vast, and you have to walk for every minute of work.
The are very serious about your study and what you are doing
The gate get closed if you get came late even it's 5-10 minute late.

Placement Experience:

It's good as many company come but the placement directly depend on your study and hard work of your 4 year and a pre placement also conduct in 3rd year where you can also get placed. For placement the student should secure 8-10 cgpa for sit in interview exam.

KIIT Overview And The Reality

1.Like i did not apply so many colleges but i got selected in my state government college in it branch but i did not go there becuase there not so many companies comes for placement and internship and there not a much opportunity 2. REVIEW OF KIIT FROM A SECOND YEAR STUDENT

Apart from KIIT I also applied for PES university, VIT. I got confirmed admission in CSE branch of these colleges but these colleges are far away from my home. So distance is one of the main factors for not choosing other colleges instead of KIIT. For taking admission in KIIT one has to appear in the KIITEE examination which is conducted in CBT mode. After the exam result will be declared within a month. Then one has to sit for counselling for choosing the branch of their choice. The cutoff score is different for all the three phases. For example in 2023, a student securing 15 percentile in KIITEE got CSE core branch but in the second phase the cutoff for CSE core raised to 75 percentile....Read More
